I used to see kids breakdancing at the mall in the 80s. It went on for months. After a while, there'd be fights and cops were getting called more frequently. That put an end to it.

What an amazing labor of love is this video. You faithfully recreated the location sets of a most iconic and underrated in important film. This was a walk into time and made me wonder with amazement. They had no idea how significant this movie would become for the entire world. Breaking is going to now be an Olympic sport and we can thank this movie for making it a cultural relevant artistry. Thanks for the memories.

FOR ANYONE INTERESTED: Please check out the 1983 doc "BREAKIN' N' ENTERIN'" (it exists on YT). The film shows not only the infancy of West Coast Hip-Hop, but raw footage of material for this classic film. Almost all of the characters are in it.

I saw this movie in 1984 when I was 15 yrs old and now I'm 53, but it's been flowing like blood in my veins till now. First time we saw it on a rented Video Cassette Player sharing money within friends for the rent. Thanks to the internet since it is within our reach now, and we can watch it any number of times and we never feel bored watching it again and again. Every time we watch it, it takes back us to our childhood memories. Love the wonderful cast of the movie viz Shabba doo, Lucinda Dickey and specially Michael Bogaloo Shrimp (Turbo) the No.1 Hip-hop and Breakdancers. The only sad thing and very heart breaking news was the recent death of Shabba doo in Dec 2020. May his soul RIP. Thanks for putting the hardwork for showing the Locations in the movie in this Video at that time and now.

I was 13 growing up in NYC. Yea it had an impact on the culture in the US, but doing graffiti was considered ghetto and thug back then and is even worse now as an adult. Fortunately Heavy Metal had a bigger influence on me, so I stayed away from thinking I was all black and stuff.

Amazing job finding all those places most people would walk by without a clue, Breakin 1 -2 / beat street etc got them all in my collection. I hear Michael chambers is a great guy very friendly, shame Adolfo Quiñones and bruno Falcon have both passed away both legends RIP. Saw an interview with Lucinda Dickey (youtube) few years back talking about the breakin movies and ninja 3 interesting to hear her story, lovely lady. At 54 i have fond memories of those movies the the music and the feel good vibe they brought, i don't see them as cheesy...just fun and of course the quality of the breakin was top notch particularly from Michael.
