Welcome to the Toyota/Honda family hour. And kids, that’s what a car supposed to be.

The reality is that newer Honda Accords will not be as reliable due to the fact that they use turbocharged engines, and they simply don't last as long as normally aspirated engines, especially the small ones like 1.5 liter Honda engine. Sadly this trend seems to be hitting Toyotas, Hondas and others that are late model. Other issues are CVT's and complexity. You'll notice all the testimonials are on really old models.

I had a 2004 Cadillac Escalade with 320,000 miles when I sold it in 2016, only because it was to difficult for me into because of my knees. I bought it brand new and took very good care of it. I had absolutely NO problem with it and NO major issues EVER. If I could’ve continued to get into it easily I would’ve NEVER sold it and would be driving it to this day January 3, 2025. It was the most beautiful car I ever had.

I’ve owned a Toyota Pickup (from before they named the pickups, before Tacomas) since 1994. I paid less than $10,000 for it brand new. I’d buy another one if they sold a nice little, simple one with no extended anything, but since they don’t sell them anymore, I’ll just have to stick with what I have.

The number 1 reason a car last that many miles is regular maintenance. By the way there is a toyota tacoma somewhere down in texas i believe that has gone way beyond 1,000,000 miles, thats right beyond 1,000,000.

Simplified propaganda commercial for those who is not in the topic and not without some mishaps! What was fragment with Kia Soul doing there, though it's also fairly reliable car? And what about Mazda being NOT a Japanese brand??? The most important, even the Japanese of various years are fairly different in reliability. And the final statement about reliability of modern cars is simply atrocious! Full of plastics instead of aluminum, aluminum instead of steel, electronics built not for the conditions, overcomplicated with excessive automation destined to die within the first few years with following expensive replacement! And finally, screen software glitching entire lifespan of the vehicle... Hanging with my old ones, and as the newer the are, as less hope I have they will last with me...
