The biggest game changer for me in the past years was actually changing my mindset. I just don't approach boulders with a "this looks hard - I don't like these holds - I cannot make it anyways - I hope I do it, otherwise I feel embarassed..." anymore. Instead I see "too hard" boulders as a great challenge and opportunity to get used to hard moves. I also started enjoying small improvements instead of just seeing topped boulders as a win. I mean, what have you achieved when topping a boulder that is in your comfort zone? Jerry Moffatt's "Mastermind" was a good lecture, I can only recommend reading it.

I always wonder why people don’t trying harder grade. I tried V6-V8 color on the second month. Why not if it looks fun? Can’t do it at least you understand what you need to improve.
