Some of my favorite things about this channel are that the decks are right around the power level of my playgroup, filled with tons of vectors and combos, and use a range of old and brand new cards to great effect. Truly inspiring.

I've been wanting to build Gyrus for a while, so I was so happy to see this new video (also includes my favorite commander, Rakdos). I love all your decks!

Heck yea I appreciate it! This guy need more love!

Gyrus is my absolute favorite commander of all time. My deck is much more midrange and focuses on strong individual creatures instead of looking for ways to synergize with Gyrus. He's just there for whenever you need him, I just slot him in to whatever turn I don't have something else to do or if I have haste and need to burst something out of the yard real quick. His flexibility is unmatched in that regard, he's a solid play turn three if you don't have anything to cast and he's a solid turn seven for a big guy that might be able to do a whole lot more. I'm always trying to tune his deck to be the best it can be within the ways my group likes to play. Definitely looking forward to the new Rakdos from Karlov Manor and the Alpha Dreadclaw from the Fallout precons.

You could probably find some kind of old kamigawa style alter for The Master, Multiplied. Something to the tune of “Rakdos Sakashima.” Sakashima deals in both copies and “legend rule” things, so it tracks. And he’s also a rogue. You shouldn’t change creature types for alters, but if you squint hard enough, “time lord rogue” looks like “human rogue”

I would love that kind of proxy. Some of the Doctor Who cards are very good but I loathe the setting and I think it has no place in MTG. Proxies like you suggest would make me very happy.

Love the gameplay tests in the end! Your decks often contain expensive cards but i don't have the impression that these are jammed in there just because they're staples. The synergies your decks provide are very inspiring.

Let's goooo, been waiting for this! A lot of fun techs, I was also implementing the Lord of Extinction shenanigans recently to my creatures-only Umori-Gyrus deck, been really fun. Izoni, Thousand-Eyed and Jarad have been very powerful as well. I'm a bit evil so also using Nullstone Gargoyle and Sire of Insanity to completely lock down my opponents.

Ngl, the way you build decks is bug nutty, soo many things going on but so simple in their intended goal I freaking love it. I looked at Gyrus years ago when it came out and it seemed like too many hoops to jump thru for mediocre returns but this is inspiring. Funnily enough I recently found myself wanting a reanimator token deck, I was going to use Omnath,LOA and Brudiclade to replicate what your doing here but i think I'll just build a version of this lol

As someone who's favorite deck is a Jarad deck, I am right with you in loving Out of the Tombs. Such a fun card.

For those who don’t know: */* creatures have what’s called a “characteristic defining ability” linking their power and toughness to something, and their power will be the same in all zones. Souls of the lost and lord of extinction will be nearly impossible to return with Gyrus.

I like you have chosen a commander that is below place 600 on edhrec! Is there a budget version of this? Terror of the peaks and the great henge are good stuff that could go in any deck and wind games..

Ah yes, Scalding Tarn can fetch a black green card. I completely forgot that it could that 😂

Hi! Thanks for the effort and energy you put into your videos! About the deck tech itself, you do a high power deck list, but It's not my jam. Too much powerful, too many really expensive cards, that make the deck not depend on the commander. Maybe I'm new to this channel and this is the power level you are looking for. At the time most of people would build a deck on paper, It is not realistic to spend 1000$ imo. As a mental exercise it is great! I prefer more budget lists, therefore weaker decks that need it's commander to win, 'cause if not, you lose a lot of flavour with just Jund goodstuff

I'd like to know the power levels of the decks you build I'm assuming 7 closer to 8

Gyrus is omega cool but this way to play him isnt the way i wanna play commander. With that many cards in my hand and that many cards in grave and options my turn will take even longer than with korvold, which is just too much. Also i dont really think that gyrus really does much for the overall deck, he just happens to be good with the master multiplied... so to me personally this isnt a gyrus deck, its a broken jund graveyard deck which doesnt care about a commander...
