It's tough to accept that basically our country wasn't efficiently governed for the past 30 years. We now find ourselves in a position of praising a fish for swimming. Basic things have become a measure of excellence. Tough to fathom really.
@thandisilec8355 күн бұрын
Hear you but the beauty is that once this is the norm, that we see fish swim, we citizens will expect more from our elected officials as this will be new normal and we won’t be clapping for it much longer…this is good either way for the progress of the country

@@Break1n9out agreed, previous generations were the problem not mine. I’m 22 and voted in national elections for first time in my life this year, since I wasn’t eligible to vote in all previous elections. I did vote for first time in my life in the local elections of 2021 and didn’t vote any of old parties(ANC, DA, UDM, IFP etc) nor did I vote EFF. I’m not married nor blindly loyal to any party, and most of my cousins and similar age peers aren’t either, some vote and some don’t vote but those who vote tend to not care for ANC or DA either. Not just ANC, whole of western cape run by DA for last 15 years, the tourism, restaurant and farming industries are employing foreigners. You know how jarring it is that hospitality in western cape allows that this country be misrepresented to international tourists by having the faces of first contact serving these tourists not be South African?That’s misrepresentation of country’s identity and its ppl , tourists come to SA to experience all things South Africa, engage and be amongst SAns not be amongst Zimbabweans, Ghanaians, Kenyans, Congolese etc who are mostly employed as waiters and other staff in these restaurants, hotels and lodges serving tourists and locals alike. This needs to be fixed, even with Uber drivers who are foreigners talking smack to international tourists about SA as they pick them up from airports…this is now quite documented. Tour guides about SA and SA history especially should be SAns or any foreigner accredited to be a tour guide on that particular site/ area and it’s history as they constantly misrepresent historical facts about this country, noted it on some travelling content creator videos where the tour guides weren’t SAn, was some other non SA African and they were telling them wrong history about a certain history in the cape…it was disturbing and the guide was definitely not SAn

I have a question, the South Africans they always call UNIONS for their employers and pay rise, and that is why they are NOT employed, but the UNIONS do not call on the FOREIGNERS to toyi-toyi but UNIONS always encourage SAns to toyi-toyi why is it like that? Or am I missing a point that it is still the strategy of ANC and these UNIONS to make South Africa ungovernable & to be like Zimbabwe & Lagos? to starve our young people? I fail to understand, where there is South Africans Unions are there for example the recent FORD STRIKE.
@GNUAccordingCD5 күн бұрын
