The reason Jack Sparrow’s flintlock doesnt work when wet is because the water actually got into the gunpowder because its not an enclosed cartridge. Jesse’s handgun would most definitely work. Modern guns can get wet and fire just fine.

I loved all the small shots of how Albuquerque has moved on (Saul's office now a different business, Los Pollos now a Twisters etc), it's something I wish we'd seen more of in El Camino and also BCS (I know we got some tantalising mentions in the Francesca phone call). I agree that this isn't the strongest entry in the universe but it's a worthy addition. Something I haven't seen mentioned anywhere is how the ending of BCS throws the comparatively happy ending of El Camino into doubt - life of the lam is no fun at all. The hell of black and white Omaha suggests to me that maybe it isn't happy ever after for Jesse. Gilligan and Gould always said in interviews that the characters got what they deserved. Jesse probably ends up somewhere similar to Kim - free but haunted by their past deeds.

When it comes to Jessie killing Todd, I think it is part of the twisted nature of his relationship with Walt. It wasn’t until Walt was there he had the confidence and the security to finally take revenge on Todd, in the way he couldn’t when he was alone in the desert.

Skinny Pete and Badger are the GOAT of friends. I loved seeing them again and them helping Jesse with no hesitation. Also I'm pretty sure modern firearms still work if they're wet. The reason it didn't work in Pirates is because they were loaded with gunpowder, that's what causes the pellet to shoot out of them. But if the gunpowder gets wet it won't ignite. With modern rounds it's all encased in the shell. So there's no way for water to get into it and mess it up. Maybe if you submerged it long enough but I don't think so.

Wet gun would still work. Still the powder in the cartridges are sealed by the projectile and primer the powder would not be wet. Now it would be a different story though if he was walking around with an 18th century dueling pistol like Jack Sparrow. 4:06 this is accurate since these guns do not use sealed cartridges.
@zachberg8005 Жыл бұрын
A wet modern gun is no problem. They would fire and cycle the action dry or wet. Jack Sparrows gun does not fire because the gunpowder is wet. Modern firearms use ammunition that keeps powder sealed from the elements. The ammunition would need to be submerged for a long enough time for water to make its way into the case and get the powder wet or corrode the primer to the point a spark can't be made for it to not work. The gun itself being wet doesn't matter at all and rarely ever does in practice, Navy Seals dive and swim with their weapons even into combat. Modern firearms with good ammunition will fire fully submerged, although the bullet will only go a few feet and a semi or full auto function may not cycle. But as for a gun simply being wet, the worst thing that will happen is rust if it's not properly taken care of afterward.

So the difference between guns now and guns in the 1700s to early 1800s where pirates is taking place, is the guns then still used black powder shoved down the barrel to ignite the rounds. If that powder gets wet, it's not firing. But guns now don't have that. The actual bullets hold the gunpowder and primer. And the firing pin strikes the primer igniting the bullet to make it fire. So guns now can still fire even when soaking wet. Kentucky ballistics even has a funny video on his channel where he fires "shower guns" where he shoots multiple pistols, a shotgun and a rifle while "taking a shower." And not only are the guns wet and soapy, but the rounds are too. And by soapy, I mean he literally covers the weapons with shampoo and submerged the rounds in a bottle of shampoo before firing.

Wet guns will work and even fire when submerged. Modern smokeless powder is an accelerant not an explosive like old black powder used in muskets and they have chemical based starters that will go off even under water but old black powder guns relied on whats basicaly an open flame to catch the powder which isnt contained in a sealed brass cartridge. They got ak47 type assault rifles that shoot spear like needle bullets underwater and the only difference in those guns is a smooth barrel and a different projectile from a regular slug. Otherwise everything elseis the same as a conventional firearm and cartridge.

Really the writers of BB missed a great opportunity to put one last shock and jolt of reality into Walt when he visited Skyler for the last time living alone at her apartment complex. They should have portrayed Skyler pregnant once again, Walt would have been perplexed as would have no answers to the evolving puzzle of variables he thought he could manage with money. He could not stay with her nor meet his unborn child. Yet it did not happen, main reason is actress Anna Gunn threw away the maternity prop she had to wear in earlier seasons.

I wouldn't say that this movie is bad, but it was completely pointless. At the end of the day we get an open-ended conclusion where Jesse rides off somewhere to start a new life, and that's basically what happened in the final episode of Breaking bad where he escaped from Jack's crew after being saved by Walt. We didn't need this extra movie where we see him do the exact same thing we assumed he was going to do at the end of Breaking bad anyway. The only real positive I have for this movie is that it's good to see Jesse be happy about being able to start his new life at the end, but even with that small dose of wholesomeness, this still didn't need to exist.

With the wet gun, as long as the action (where the whole explosion and ejection of the bullets) is clear and the gunpowder in the bullets are dry then the gun will fire after being in a shower. After that it's just different temperaments of different firearms.

@@murgeproductions i also think there was a cut scene with Huell where he left the safe house he was put in (he wouldnt have known to leave because only Hank and Gomie knew he was there and they both got killed)

I hate this movie so much. It was like a boring episode like the fly, and because of this movie better call saul took longer to finish and almost we lost the actor

I didn’t like this movie. Felt breaking bad was supposed to be all about Walt, and having it end with him dying was the way to end it. Jesse was gonna be killed in the first season. I think that alone makes this movie not needed. Breaking bad is Walt’s story, and el Camino ends the same as the end of BB, with Jesse freed in some way. I also thought making the main antagonist of it some guy who built Jesse’s chain too much of a stretch there. Todd was already evil and they showed him way too much as we viewers also knew he was already dead by the events of what we’re still wondering about. I find el Camino pointless, but more so a worst ending for the show as opposed to the series finale. I watched it once not too long ago after I binged BB for the first time. Probably won’t ever watch it again and consider that it just never happened. Jesse, free from the supremacists, driving off into whatever misadventures that freedom will provide after giving Walt that last look is the where his story ends for me.

The one thing that constantly annoyed me watching this is seeing Todd be fat af. Not being fatphobic just it REALLY takes you out of the experience watching this CRUCIAL character that should look the same but is like barely recognizable. Almost as distracting as if he was recast or even worse.

Completely understand

my head cannon is since it’s all memories from jesses brain, he’s just imaging him really fat since Todd’s free and can eat whatever he wants meanwhile Jesse only gets fed you know whenever

I’ve never understood all the sympathy Jesse gets. The guy is literally a drug peddling, drug addicted murderer. I would have liked BB far more if Jesse was killed off way earlier in the show. All the saves he gets make the show so much more silly to me each time I watch it. Jesse was a pos just like a lot of the other characters.
