Awwww Melissa George! Mr C and the Shamen! PROPER music! They'd clearly spent all their budget on Violet's LOVELY hairdo. I was at University in the year this was shown. Juggling was MASSIVE on my corridor. There were only two people who weren't jugglers... my mate Aj because he lacked co-ordination, and me because I just didn't give a shit. That was just WONDERFUL. Parting really IS such sweet sorrow.

The final episode of Bad Influence sure was one of the finales of all time. It has it all! A showcase of a shitty drawing application that at the time was probably too expensive for anyone to buy, shitty games with "digitised actors" made just to sell a gimmicky peripheral, recycling games showcased in previous episodes (a lowkey Bad Influence classic!), forced celebrity cameos with actors that have clearly never played a videogame before... and yet I'm gonna miss all of it! I didn't grow up with this show, I learnt about it only because Ashens made a few passing references to it in some of his videos and since I was bored I decided to look it up and got weirdly fascinated by it! It's a shame it had such a crappy ending and that most episodes wasted so much of its budget and potential on showcasing pointless things that the children watching at home most certainly did not give a fuck about. But still, I know that in the future I will rewatch episodes of Bad Influence if and when I get bored, but now I'm also gonna have these videos to rewatch too! Thank you so much for making them! (:

I was pretty much in love with Violet when I was 13 and watching this back I’m still pretty much in love with violet but I now realise how much shit she was struggling with with this awful show and her career afterwards that I wasn’t previously aware of makes the constant piss taking a bit sad. This was, unfortunately, the best any video game fan had at the time aside from Gamesmaster with DD’s “locker room” humour which I loved at the time but has dated very badly. With historical context there was no real will to properly cover gaming bit at least they tried. It’s a way to laugh at this with hindsight but it was also viewed as a bit gauche at the time but it was at least a bone thrown to the huge new culture being ignored elsewhere
