@@patrickgriffitt6551 "on sale"? There aren't any reports of his mishandling or disobeying instructions. Where are you reading this? Common knowledge? It's a movie set with it's own protocols. Those were mishandled by someone. Evidence points to the woman in charge of arms and handling, so far.

"Prop" gun? No, it was a real gun. And Baldwin should 100% not have had his finger on the trigger. AND that armorer should be in prison.
@RaymondCore
@RaymondCore 10 ай бұрын
All the term 'prop' means is it is the 'property' of the film production. The word 'prop' in no way suggests fake or replica. A prop sofa is still a real sofa. BTW, the armourer was not in the room when the incident happened. The gun was handed to Baldwin by the Asst. Dir. who stated it was safe. If the real bullets got on set due to the fault of the armourer, she should go to prison. The AD, who gave the gun to Baldwin, had no authority to handle the gun without supervision by the armourer should also get some prison time.

As a producer Baldwin was negligent for hiring an unqualified armorer and running an unsafe production. As a director he was negligent for not making sure the actor was handed a safe prop and for setting up a dangerous line of fire. As an actor he was negligent for accepting a weapon prop from the wrong person. As a human Baldwin was negligent for not checking the weapon was clear, for pointing a weapon at another human, for putting his finger anywhere near the trigger while the DP was in the line of fire. Baldwin has nobody to blame but himself. I hope he wakes up at 4am and can’t get back to sleep because he remembers his guilt forever.

It's annoying to see all these comments from people in the media, the courts, and the on line peanut gallery who haven't bothered to ask what the proper on set protocol is for prop guns. The Assistant Director is responsible for on set safety, An armorer is the person on set responsible for handing prop guns to actors. To cut corners the AD handed the gun directly to Baldwin with out first checking.the chamber. The armorer was not on set. The Line Producer hired an AD know for cutting corners, along with an inexperienced armorer. The DP died because the production was cutting corners to save money.

I thought the armorer was on set but, despite protocol, didn’t do that last check before handing Alec Baldwin the gun. At least some articles I read said that. My understanding is that multiple armorers have to check the gun with the lead armorer doing the final check before clearing the gun for use. I also thought that the final check was done by the lead armorer before the gun is handed to the actor, but the reporting on this has been inconsistent at best. But I’m pretty certain that once a gun has been checked that last time and handed to the actor who will use it in the scene, that actor is not supposed to do anything other than what is in the script/told to them by the director(s) on set. Actors are NOT supposed to do a final check of the gun. And at that moment, Alec was an actor, and so he was supposed to handle that gun the way the scene called for. Even if he had pulled the trigger, it wasn’t supposed to have a live round in it. Anyone who remembers Jon Erik Hexum knows that blanks can be dangerous, but only when fired at point blank range (with Hexum, he put the gun to his head, it was touching his skin). As far as I know, everyone was far enough away that had their been a blank in the gun, we wouldn’t be watching this video.

I’m sorry but this is sad. Of course most for the family of the woman killed. But also for the rest of the cast. This was a horrible accident. If anyone should be charged shouldn’t it be the person that was supposed to make sure the gun was safe? Everyone is saying he was reckless but he’s the actor. He was supposed to have the gun right? How would he know the prop wasn’t safe? Also, why would they use real guns? I always thought they were fake. Then, how in the World did real bullets get on set? I would think fake bullets would be used.

His hit was not totally his fault. He received his orders from his cult masters that had a face mask when they gave him his orders

What a crock. Alec did nothing wrong. The prop did not function the way it was intended. WTF....A LIVE BULLET ?!?!? Just another witch hunt.
