Really appreciate you guys and this podcast. We can’t do basic stuff - bad at connecting on passes, bad at faceoffs, little to no physicality, can’t finish on opportunities. It’s pretty broken right now. Not sure what the answer is - I think we’re gonna need to take the risk of getting the young guys together and hoping they can figure it out over time. Aside from Bert there’s very little consistency or spark coming from the vets, and how do you convince vets to get committed when we’re such a joke and this is just a pit stop for them….

The loss yesterday was not on Soderblom. He actually played decent. Unfortunately his teammates stood around and let the Rangers camp in the blue paint. Even great goalies can't stop constant screen shots. Until they teach their defense to move guys from the front of the net, it won't get better.

⁠​⁠ reichel doing well, bedard is the best player of his draft class, Allen a pleasant surprise. Vlasic a local Chicago kid is blossoming into a top pair D-man and signed long term. Nazar is learning on the fly and dominated the AHL. Korch, Kaiser getting more time in AHL and both proven they can play in NHL. Lardis is tearing up OHL. Moore playing in WJC. Levshunov is playing well in his first year in AHL. Theres talk of Hobey Baker award for Rinzel as a sophmore in College. All under 24 years old. We got plenty of capspace to add FAs. We have 2 1st round picks in 2025 draft. The future is so bright I gotta wear shades.

This rebuild looks like it is going to take awhile. We have some really good young d men. Levshanuv / Naxar cant miss , if these 2 and Korchinski hit we will be fine. If they miss we are in trouble

You said part out loud I’ve been holding off on saying. We could have Demidov; Eiserman, Augustine. All those guys we could’ve drafted. Could be huge misses for GMKD that should get him fired. But we don’t really know the answer to that for 2 years.

If Demidov is a star with the Habs , the pressure is on with Levshanov. I like building the team from the back out. But that kid might be great !!!!!

Talk is cheap this team is awful the G M cant keep going into the locker room that card has been played time to make some trades for picks or just dump them the Rangers have been playing bad but today they looked like a top team this is on the players not the coach !!!

Free agents have 30 teams to choose from. What’s going to make a high-quality top six player want to come here. The organization seems to have cleaned up. it is an original six team. Based on the number of nationally televised games, the NHL market is responsive to Chicago Blackhawks. But the team itself is not good and won’t be for another 2 years. Mid-level guys like Bartuzzi and Teuvo is what we can expect for now. GMKD needs to stop with short-term plugs like Martinez, Maroon and Smith. Didn’t work. Donato is 28 and has earned a contract. Kurashev has not. We have NHL ready guys like Korch, Nazar, Dach & Slaggert, maybe Lev for next year.

The GM needs to get actual NHL talent. Stop relying on picks that have a 50/50 chance of panning out and over paying washed up bottom 6 vets.
