Beyond language translation, this could be a game-changer for people with hearing impairment. They've been working on this kind of stuff for ages. Google translate already has an active translate app that will let you have a conversation between somebody with a different language, through your earbuds. I have contractors all the time who don't speak a word of English, just Spanish. And with Google translate on my phone, and through the pixel buds I can have an actual conversation with them.

Google glass already did augmented reality on 2012. But I hope this implementation works for the masses and not only the tech savvy. Besides a lot of people though google glass was pretentious and there were concerns about privacy, or at least that is what I remember. This "ad/promo" focuses immediately on human interaction and feelings, a 180 degree change in direction I think.

What a heartwarming video, made my eyes water! As a person with APD (Auditory Processing Disorder), this is mind blowing! I avoid large crowds and have difficulties in meetings understanding what people are saying. Having APD, words sound slurred together which makes it hard to understand and find myself constantly asking people to repeat themselves (or when too embarrassed, just nod and smile). This could change so many lives!!
