Another masterpiece that’s unreal thank you so much for these videos. For the movie effects recommendation part I’d love to see how do you put people into 3d environments when you only have a green screen shot of them. Thank you so much for making this unmatched content and I’m happy for you to get a sponsor much love ❤️

I'm honestly so excited to discover your channel this past couple of days, that I'm binge-watching your videos and I'm actually saving some of them to watch while eating popcorn. (I ain't kidding.) Quick question: At 1:20, when applying the Posterize effect and setting the level to 4, you said that we have 12 levels of colors (4 levels for each of the 3 color channels). Then you applied the B&W effect above the Posterize, and this should make the image have 4 levels of colors. Wouldn't this make the image have 8 levels of colors, instead of 4? I mean, 4 levels for black and 4 levels for white? I'm sorry, I'm a complete disaster when talking about color channels and grading. I probably talking something stupid. Just couldn't get this off my mind.

Hey! I'm glad you're liking the videos :) To clarify what I meant a bit more, adding Posterize (set to 4) to a black and white layer is going to break down the RANGE of black-white into 4 levels: 1 (100% black - 0% white), 2 (66% black - 33% white), 3 (33% black - 66% white), and 4 (0% black - 100% white). You can see it at work for yourself really easily by creating a new solid, adding the Gradient Ramp Effect which will make a black -> white gradient, then adding the Posterize Effect. Whatever you set the Posterize Level to will dictate how many "steps" will be created between black and white. The effect does this same thing for each of the color channels, in fact when we're using it on a black and white layer, it's doing it to all 3 color channels at the same time which is why we see no color. Rewriting the same level breakdown from above but in RGB notaion (where red, green, and blue values range from 0 - 255) it would be: 1 (R:0, G:0, B:0), 2 (R:85,G:85,B:85), 2 (R:170,G:170,B:170), 2 (R:255,G:255,B:255) Hopefully this was more helpful than it was confusing, colors and color channels can sometimes be a little difficult to wrap your head around
@ThiagoFerreira-zt8zv2 жыл бұрын
@@AcademyOfEdits Ouch, this was absurdly helpful. Thank you so much. So in this case, I could maybe substitute the B&W effect for something like the CC Toner, leave it on Duotone, and set the Highlights and Shadows to different colors, but making sure 2 of the RGB values remains the same between the colors. I mean, e.g.: Highlights - (R:0, B:0, G:100) and Shadows - (R:255, B:0, G:100). Then, adding the Posterize effect and setting the level to 4, will make 4 values of color ranging between Green to Red, since it is dividing the Red value in 4, but the Green and Blue value remains the same. Is this correct? I hope your channel grows man, this kind of information presented in such an exquisite way it's so rare. And you know it, shamelessly.

Awesome work! everything in your tutorials is just so well done😍 please make more, eventually people will find your channel. Also, either youtube is lagging or you may have forgot to add this to your breakdowns playlist As a side note, if you weren't aware you can mark playlists something like "series" or "official" in their settings. If you haven't set them to be so already it could be helpful, it makes it much more likely for the next video in the playlist to be the first recommendation. This way you could possibly drive more views from your ebsynth video to the 3d camera tracking one :)
