Breaking Down the Marvel Secret Lair Crossover // Brewing around the Characters

Sorry in advance for having two seperate post that are the size of small novels. I clicked on this to sat, I really am hoping and holding out for a Grixis colored Nightcrawler. Like, if I get him in those colors or even Jeskai... I will be happy. If he ends up with an ability similar to the Transformer Legendary Creature, Slicer, as a way to represent his powers of telepirtation it woukd be neat; especialy if he gives you a benefit that triggers when the control of him changes. Going out on a limb with this one because he isn't as widely knowni the overall X-Men story & doesn't appear in the MCU so I doubt Hasbro will use him, but the healer/hurter mutant named Elixir would be sweet. He has side-mutation that changes his biology on a chemical level when he swaps his powers. He strikes a cool appearence with his healing form. His body looks as if it is solid gold, even his eyes shimmer with the same color &u he has the ability to manipulate the genetic make up, DNA & cells of any living being which grants him an omega level in Healing powers. (Represent him as the side you cast of a DFC, this side being Mono-White with lifelink & an ability that gains life as well as a seperate ability that triggers whenever another creature you control dies, then he exiles himself & returns as his flip side, which is Mono-Black) His Metallic Black fom comes with its own seperate set of powers. With this form, he gains the ability to destroy the molecues of any living being & can make them succumb to any modern day virus or disease with a simple touch. He can also initiate the growth of cancerous tumors. (his black power-set should definitely be represented with him being a pretty strong P/T card with Deathtouch & Infect. Keep his triggered ability that happens whenever a creature dies ((this time make it state "enemey creature dies")) you can maybe pay 4 life & if you do, that creature's controller gets a poison counter... Man, one can only wish. haha

The fact that these are going to fall under the 'Limited Release Policy' is one of the many reasons I pay a bit more than avg. for very nice & real looking proxies. Honestly, with proxying the newer cards (even with the triangle sticker like these have or the regular oval one) I find them almost indistinguishable from WotC cards, while they are sleeved. The only problems I have in proxying an older card from sets like revised/legends, it is very hard for it not to be obvious that it is fake. (especially on white bordered older cards) There is nothing you can do to the white area of those cards you get the certain 'look' the normal cards from that time period have. I guess it is very similar to creating a patina on a fake antique item. Didn't know I was going to end up making a huge post in support of proxies, but as long as your LGS doesn't care & you are purchasing them for your own personal use & not scamming... Go for it, especially with all of the predatory techniques that Hasbro conducts with this game.

Captain America is just too cool for me. Red White and Blue cost is just perfect. I wanted to make Tetsuo before but this just looks like a straight upgrade.

Bro, literally thought the same thing. I wanted to build an equipment deck for Tetsuo, but then MTG just dropped this and there is no contest. Big fan of my boy, Captain America! Glad Wizards brought it to Commander.

With these being mechanically unique cards that won't get reprinted as in-universe versions for at Least 6months I'd say if not as soon as it goes live then within the first hour if you really want a chance at getting either all or your choice of whoever

The fact these aren't print to demand while being at 40 and 50 only hurts wotc honestly cuz obviously people are willing to pay the price hike for the hype of marvel and these are just the 1st SLs imagine the next 5 years of this stuff being pumped out
