Leaving a rooftop unprotected 130 yards away from the stage was a secret service failure. I saw a red-haired man being interviewed by the BBC who claimed he told police and was pointing to SS screaming there is a man on the roof with a gun. If the Secret Service sniper didn't move, then he had line of site on the shooter the whole time. Why did he wait to take his shot untill after the assasination attempt?

All buildings covered and Trump was positioned in front of the Plane blocking all field access. Now this happens after the director of the Secret Service was informed of heightened threats. In Pennsylvania there are closed primaries before the general election so the parties can choose their candidates. If one party has an incumbent candidate their party doesn't do a primary election, and the other party however does have a primary. In this situation a common tactic is to register as the opposing party so you can vote and perhaps get a weaker candidate elected for the opposing party so your favored candidate can win with out much of a fight. The shooter was a Democrat, donated to Democrat campaigns, and participated in one or two of the Republican primaries to potentially upset the vote in favor of the Democrats. The shooter wasn't a Republican.

Piet, wearing clothing that is associated that is typically associated with a group or viewpoint would give cover on initial viewing, i.e. allowing him to be in the area without broadcasting his intent. Had he been wearing an "Antfi" shirt and carrying a modern sporting rifle, he would have been called out right away. It is simply an attempt at camouflage.

The head of the Secret Service saying that the roof was sloped and "not safe" is not only laughable, it's also a lie. I haven't seen anyone else point this out (if they have, please direct me to the videos or posts), but the pictures of the counter snipers show them on sloped roofs. From what I've seen, they were on a similarly sloped, if not an even more sloped roof, than the shooter was. Or am I completely crazy?

My POF P415 Edge is a very accurate AR, and I have it scoped at 16x max. That said, it is not a bolt gun. I can get sub-MOA out of the rifle with match ammo. If I shoot cheap range ammo through it, the groups widen a bit. I want to know more about his rifle - brand - and did he have a scope on it or a red dot, and the ammo he used. My guess it is was a "Plain Jane" AR and he was using range ammo.

My Strelok app with my AR setup, using 77Gr HPBT, assuming 10MPH wind at 90 degrees is saying 1.5" drift at 150 yards. Assuming another 1"+ for accuracy variables, this could result in the miss as shown. However, I am now thinking your explanation of poor setup and nerves were more ikely the cause.

I'm no world renowned marksman but grew up Teton/Yellowstone Country with guns around and like to go to the range. "AR type rifle?" That's puzzling, it's either an AR or it's not. Lots of different brands make them but they're pretty much like Legos that all share the same basic interchangeable parts. Something is just way off about this whole thing. Stuff like this, the Grassy Knoll and the Book Depository are all perfect fertile soil for conspiracy theories. I basically think DC loves people to come up with conspiracy theories so they can call us all crazy, create an agency or two and come up with more superfluous, ineffective rules. The other alternative a government can try out is just be transparent and give us decent information. Give that a try every once in a while and maybe we'll all quit speculating at the local diner and some mutual trust can be built.

More to add to my last comment: I'm going with gross incompetence rather than conspiracy theories. This is what happens to the Secret Service when they place diversity as their motivation. Go take a look at the wording on their recruitment page. It's more like a Disney statement, like something you would see on a corporate type page, not for a security concern. Did you see the female agent struggling to holster her weapon? How about the other female agent fumbling with her sunglasses! I don't know but if I were someone requiring SS protection, I want former NFL linebackers around me, not chicks out to make a point. There's a time and a place for female agents. Investigations, plenty of other duties, more than I can possibly list. But front line protection of a major political figure? Big, mean dudes please.

Registries vary by state. Some don't have then and some do. Any firearm that is purchased from a reputable gun store does however, note the serial number when doing the required background check. Straw purchases, private sales and local manufacturing is where the SN trace can get more difficult.

I am also interested in finding out why the Secretive Service along with local law enforcement failed to secure every possible avenue for a shooter. If President Biden or VP Harris was the speaker at this rally, would the Secret Service and local law enforcement have allowed the shooter to gain the same advantage point?????? Something does not add up there. Was the shooter wearing that shirt to help him blend in????? Based on the position he setup in, I would have to say no. Was he wearing the shirt to attract attention to the DR training facility???? If so, was he then trying to imply that somehow they were implicit in the assassination by providing him training??????? I hope that this investigation does not become a political tool used to demand gun control. Unfortunately with the current administration, I can hear anti gunners war cry. My state, Washington State, pretty nuch gutted most gun rights. People in my state can only acquire hunting rifles, traditional shotguns, and pistols with max 10 rounds. Demo Ranch is not overtly political, and they do a lot of reviews in a funny platform....If you had recently purchased a firearm, its reasonable to think you may watch some KZbin videos to learn how to use it. Its also reasonable to think you wouldn't wear an Antifa shirt to a Trump rally, so this shirt choice could easily be chalked up to camouflage as well.
