Ever since the reopening portion of covid small businesses used covid as a sympathy method to justify adding tip options in places where it typically wouldnt be seen. Example, stores where you drop off packages, pick up orders at restaurants, gas stations, etc. Its getting abused. I could see a bunch of companies abusing it more if they know its tax free. @Xplain2meY2 ай бұрын
I think no taxes on tips is a good segway for no taxes on income in general. Income tax in the early 1900s is unconstitutional & the more middle-men involved in commerce, the more the products have been taxed by the government to reach the consumer. Ex: Workers harvesting lumber are taxed (income), Lumber is taxed (sales), then folks creating wood-based products (income), then middle- men, then the final product is taxed (sales). This system is unsustainable & needs to be abolished; we're not supposed to be taxed on the same goods multiple times NOR income. Government collects enough taxes to waste billions; they need to be starved of "income" from We the People & prevented from printing their way out (socialized tax) & actually balance the books responsibly.
@shawnthomas-royster35543 ай бұрын
A flat tax doesn’t disproportionately benefit or hurt anyone. It can’t. In math, a percent is essentially the definition of proportionality. Paying 10% of $10 is $1. You keep $9 or 90% of your income. Paying 10% of $100 is $10. You keep $90, or 90% of your income. Paying 10% of $1,000 is $100. You keep $900, or 90% of your income. You get the point. No one is penalized more or less for being poor or rich. That’s how tithing works. That’s how sales tax works. It’s fair and equitable for everyone to look forward to and bank on keeping the same percent or proportion of their hard-earned or easily-earned money, regardless of the amount they earn.

I am a Trump supporter, but I'm sure I would not be alone in paying a lesser percentage in tip money if I know it's not being taxed. This is not coming from a place of greed or spite, but I already pay most tips in cash, knowing it will go unreported if not "under" reported. I feel like my cash tip will make up for losses on reported credit card tips. I typically tip 20% or more for outstanding service. I waited tables for several years in my 20's so i understand. Tipped employees already make more money than i make now working in the education system, so giving away my taxed money to a person who is exempt isn't exactly appealing. I might go back to the 15-18% rule if this actually comes into fruition. So my point is that tipped employees should worry that this might actually hurt the tips they receive at point of service. AND, a question we could ask is whether this is JUST federal tax and the service worker might still pay STATE income taxes on tips depending on where they live. This deal is a nice offer but seeing it played out would be interesting.

I think there are very few people who make their entire living on tip work. I'm assuming most people do tip work as a second job or part time while they are in school or something like that. So I don't have an issue with tips not being taxed because the same number of hours of their time is invested. It doesn't make financial sense for them to work a lot for a little and that is one reason restaurants are having such a hard time remaining staffed. I can't imagine the country's revenue takes that muhc of a hit, and I do like the idea of increasing tarrifs on imported goods. The government should definitely leverage that opportunity before it comes for ANY of our tax money. It will also incentive people to buy American and hopefully lower the price of American-made goods.

You picked a video topic that both presidential candidates support. VP Kamala Harris also supports eliminating most or all of taxes on tips. Would be best if employers paid a decent wages so workers aren't dependent on the generosity of their customers for their basic living expenses. Some employers don't even have to pay minimum wage because of the tip exemption.

She was the deciding vote TO tax your tips under Biden admin. Fact. And you believe her??? Same with she never went to the border but was the border czar, she kept innocent man on death row for years to further her own agenda and policies, she also put thousands in jail for marijuana and then laughed about it in a public interview asking if she had ever smoked it herself…. YOU TRUST WHAT SHE SAYS?! Also He did a video on her proposals as well…. Watch it.

If Trump actually follows through with his promise to cut taxes on tips , speaking as the mother of a daughter who is a server it would really help her. As you pointed out in your video it might have qualified people leaving positions where they are needed such as teachers, police officers, nurses, health care workers to be servers , what would happen then ?

Taxes were only suppose to be temporary. Its good that some one is trying to abolish taxes

8:14 - Yup, bonuses should not be taxed. Or keep the same job, change salary to $30k, and bonus/tips to $120k.

You're looking at low pay workers. Nurses, Firefighters, Police, EMTs, and more would benefit from this. Give put more money in their pocket, they'll spend more.

Anyone who's willing to lower and or end taxes and is also willing to stop government spending is s good thing. We as citizens are taxed to no end. If these politicians were held accountable for losing our money or spending it frivorously, i don't think we would have so many accidents

In 4 years , Trump ran up the National Debt 8 trillion dollars. If you don't want Debt, you dont want him. Lol, his campaign promise was he'd eliminate all National Debt . Just like building 30 miles of wall in four years.

Only the poor receive tips for their work, so I’m all in. But I’m also in favor of eliminating ALL income taxes and replacing them with property taxes, excluding the first $2 million. This video does make one critical mistake that I’ve also seen elsewhere - federal taxes are NOT used to provide government services. All dollars returned to the Treasury are shredded and the shredded bills are then sold to the public in tittle baggies. As stated in the US Constitution, the Congress has monopoly power to create the money to provision itself, nowhere does the Constitution mention the need to tax. So, yes the Congress does own a money tree and tax payer dollars are irrelevant to spending.

Except how high income earners will use this loophole and pay themselves millions of dollars in tips 😂😂😂😂 It’s a scam Trump wants to give to his rich friends 😂😂😂😂🤡🤡🤡🤡 This is why Kamala restricted specifically to service and hospitality industry only to prevent abuse Think little bruh 😂😂

Government needs to raise 0 taxes ever. They need to get rid of countless different organizations that they run, and pay for all of their “lost” billions each year they lose. And personally be accountable for every penny they sent over seas instead of keeping in the US to better American lives, instead of foreign ones.

So, what is tonstop the government from keeping a record on how much people are really making on tips, and then overturning this tax bill and really ramming people on the newly figured income declaration. In the moment, I know it helps people, but there is no guarantee it will stay in place. With all the data storage facilities being built all over the world, it doesn't seem unfeasible.

Great! If tips aren’t taxed I won’t feel bad tipping less cuz as a customer I should not be responsible for ensuring a worker earns a livable wage. It’s the employers responsibility. If a business wants to increase prices to fairly compensate their workers I’m all for it. But if I make 70k and have to pay full tax and bartender makes 70k but only pays tax on 20k then I will become a person who needs more help and would heave to cut my expenses accordingly.

So Tariffs do not tax our own economy? Do you drive anything that uses OEM parts made in China? Do you utilize anything that utilizes Chinese manufactured items? Then our economy will be taxed significantly for those non-American made repair parts. Too much cherry picking. And I like that "cost of bailing out banks" that the FDIC covers and the sold equities to other banks. How much are we talking about here?
@blubu683 ай бұрын
This guy is completely clueless in this video supply chains are all from China even if the product is made in the USA components of that product guaranteed are coming from overseas, which will cost more if tariffs were so great. Every country would put 100% tariffs on everything.

What better way to shrink the size of government. Take the money away from them. It's the person who earned it so let the keep it.
