The income tax was passed unconstitutionally. Instead of 3/4 of the states voting for it the US Senate decided to simply vote on it and pass it on to the President to sign it. If it’s such a good idea put it to the states to determine. A better idea would be to simply follow the Constitution. We’d all be better off.

There is a reason for that. The federal government is rewarding you for increasing the population of the country. The US Society can not continue to grow without the introduction of a new working base. If no one has kids in 30 years no one would be able to work lower end jobs and you would not be able to move up in the world. The economy would stagnate. It’s the same as the increased standard deduction for married couples, it a reward from the government for getting married. The government understands marriage increases the likelihood of child birth which in turn increases societal growth.

My thoughts are similar to Regan’s: taxes are bad for the economy. Making goods more expensive via tariffs will not result in overall less money in the average American’s pocket. It would actually cause more jobs to be created in America, resulting in wage increases and increased funds for discretionary spending which would further fuel economic growth. It would hurt at first as the economy transitions back to one where goods and services are produced domestically causing many Americans to just more wisely which goods and services they spend their new-found wealth on. However, in the long run, locally made goods and services benefits everyone here and would lead to more competition and a more robust economy.

Getting rid of an income tax like that would absolutely help small businesses survive. This is a huge step forward in keeping businesses in America alive. it will benefit small business more than it will ever benefit individuals. It will help small businesses be able to pay their employees more. Most of us lose about 25 to 30% of our pay to taxes and 20% of it at the minimum to the federal government . @@jimmyowens954 Just to clarify the Federal Reserve's relationship with taxes, the Federal Reserve prints debt money and the IRS, the right hand of the Federal Reserve, collects the debt owed. Look at an old dollar note before 1953 and a modern one. Modern on says "Federal Reserve Note" backed by debt, and the old ones says, "Silver Certificate" backed by silver. With silver, you owe nothing. It is not debt. The Modern one is debt so the IRS goes out and collects on the debt in taxes and hands what's collected to the Federal Reserve.

The IRS has made it very clear that the 16th Amendment of the US Constitution gave them the powers to tax incomes. But there are 5 US Supreme Court cases that state clearly that, “The 16th Amendment conveyed no new powers of taxation”. Furthermore, the US Supreme Court stated that an income is a gain as in a profit while a wage is a trade of labor for money, the same as exchanging a $10 bill for two $5 bills. No gains, only an even exchange. A gain is when you buy something at $1 and sell it for $10. There is a $9 gain. But the IRS doesn’t care. They have the guns and they convinced the public that guns are bad in the hands of the people and good in the hands of our overlords. Even if We The People had the power to stop this injustice, the courts and judicial system are corrupt. If only we could ban together on this one topic, but the media has successfully corralled us into the pens they want us in. We The People are so divided by; Liberal vs Conservative Black vs White Man vs Woman Socialist vs Capitalist Democrat vs Republican. They have control of our school system as well, the indoctrination begins at school. The media has done their job to weaken the public and strengthen themselves and We The People do nothing except what they tell us to do, which is fight one another. We get paid wages and the IRS calls It income and they tax us.

I once contacted Harry Reid and said we should replace the income tax with a sales tax. He wasn't for it because it would cut spending. That's what we want. People would have more to spend and save. It would keep spending from getting out of control and encourage saving. No one would avoid a sales tax, drug dealers, CIA arms smugglers, money launderers, they all pay.

The States can take it away without the federal government's say via Article V. Two barriers: 1) The States have allowed themselves to become vasals by begging for federal money by passing the 16th and 17th Amendments and no longer have a direct say. Those two need to be repealed, but the States have become Oliver begging for more, instead of independent states whose Constitutional duty is to check federal power. 2) Many people (without even realizing, even some conservatives/libertarians) have changed religions and become marxists at heart, and won't make the hard decision to get rid of Medicare and SS over time. You'd be suprised how many conservatives will speak as if they are pwed entitlements just has bad as a liberal. They are addicted to the most dangerous drug on the planet, OPM. Other people's money. I fear we may be on the inevitable spiral down; addicts never give up their drug willingly, but we must keep resisting if there is to be hope.

The United States did NOT have a federal income tax from 1787 to 1913. Prices were generally stable. Since 1913, with the fiat federal reserve note, the "dollar" has lost 99.5% of its value. So the 400,000 house in 2024, was $2,000 in 1913. Kind of a big hike! It has resulted in INFLATION almost every year since 1913. Who doesn't like paying more for groceries, insurance, clothes, housing, taxes, gas, medical, dental, and everything else you need and buy? VOTE RED America, get rid of the st oo pi di ty!

Yo. I worked 48 hrs overtime at my job and i got hella taxed. They took 1/3 of my paycheck. And when i tried to apply for medicare.. i got denied for making too much money. And when i tried to apply for foodstamps.. denied again. But yet they took $1,500 out of ONE of my paychecks.. I have this friend whose a drug addict and has never had a job. He has free luxury housing equipped with a gym, a pool, jacuzzi….. he gets $325 food stamps and free medical.

I don't think tariffs actually help Americans directly But trading income tax for tariffs makes tons of sense Especially if you can completely remove paperwork, and fbi oversight, it would be such a relief to do many small businesses reducing how many fail, and radically increasing how many people go into business, I currently owe about $0 taxes, but it will cost me over $10k to handle filings
