@@matiaswirtanen2884 What amazes me is his lightness of being and sense of humor not to mention the place he speaks from. And he is just doing this to awaken the presense in others and he does not need anything for himself. A lucky few will be able to realize a presense in thier lives too but it is really hard to stay there at least that is my experience. Also I have realized listening to multiple mystics talking about the same thing helps to clear out blocks in the mind rather than to one person alone. I have pursued the teachings of Jiddu earlier but he is rather too serious and then Osho who is jovial and serious at the same time and Tolle who has an amazing sense of humor.

Yes I can relate very well with this as I move into a 60 year old body after a life of fitness and sport but have always searched for why we are here and what is life about. I welcome the process of ageing and letting go of ego and becoming more conscious it is very satisfying to let go and just live in presence, peace and love to all out there 😊😊😊.

Feeling related in a different way. Young and fit here, and at the same time loosening attachment to the body-ego more and more. Working on our fitness in a non-attached way is a wonderful journey. Also one that in my case leads to work out in a non-lessive, non-contracting manner. Body can get fitter and looser instead of more rigid. 😊❤

Beautifully explained, in a couple months I’ll be 68, my body has certainly changed, however as you said that beautiful flower within emerges and it a new life, I do not find myself envying the young, I’m enjoying this new age, dispute the changes getting older brings I’m enjoying life as it is. Once I met a 92 year old man , a former pilot full of energy, and enjoying life, he said these words to me which I’ll never forget, “Old Age is not a Sickness”

What is interesting with Arnold is that even he from younger years on told himself in front of the mirror that he isn't enough and that he looks digusting. Thank you Eckhart. Right, I see I identify with the body. For instance, when I went to gym I was big, I identified with the body and therefore I felt good. However, still a part of the puzzle is unsolved. To elaborate, if I say " I am a big man", the I have identified with a big object😄 because being big is valued in the society I feel good. But the crux of the matter lies in the statement 'I am big,' where 'I' precedes the concept of being big. Therefore, "I" need to be formed prior to identification whit being big. What the hack is this" I" ? I cannot see any core concept for the "I".

Eckhart's idea is based on an erroneous language construct - there is no mind body separation - that's a human language construct we've adopted. If you move from one location to another - not even too distance - you will be a different person. If you eat spinach one day and not on another day - you will be different. If you meet someone new - you'll be different. Our identity is of everything in us and around us and continually shaping us - whether it be what we take in through eating reading, watching, or listening; or one simply feeling the sun's warmth on the self. Our identity includes our output - through talking, running, or thinking; as it, as well, shapes our identity anew. We can't escape the internal nor the external environment because we are the environment uniquely interpreted through each one's own individual human lens, perhaps, until death. So, explore it - all of it - it's wonderful, isn't it? If you think you can somehow detach from yourself by playing 'let's pretend ... ' - don't be misguided. That's a form of thought suspension which can in turn be a form of denial - like the ostrich putting their head in the sand.

Both statements are so confident, but neither can be objectively proven because we don’t know the force that guides dna, and we can’t measure that which existed before our memory! Whether you’re the consciousness exclusively in the brains, or the infinite consciousness required to facilitate the reality for a life and body to exist at all… we can at least enjoy the consciousness that we agreed we are :)

What's the point of removing the ego if you look like a Greek god? I would have really enjoyed it and wouldn't be concerned about any spiritual journey at all, because when we die, it wouldn't matter anyway whether we were spiritually enlightened or not; we would return to the source, and the past wouldn't matter. That's why I think this spiritual thing is only for those who are suffering, or for those who have already attained everything in the world but still feel empty (though I'm sure not everyone who has everything will feel empty).
