I like your new setup alot actually. Thats a good board and ive been eyeing those 130mm bears. Hard to find a 130mm rkp cast truck. Yeah narrow trucks gonna be tippy though. Maybe try softer bushings to increase the lean. Increasing lean should help and also grabbing rail to keep uphill angle on board. That board has a small wheel base which i like so you can prob get by dewedging front truck to 45 or even buy another 40 for the front especially if you can increase the lean. Love seeing your videos.

Thank you for all the good info. Nick at Muirskate gave me a grab bag of bushings and softer - so that I will definitely try; as well as grabbing rail. Like the dredging idea, too-never done it and always willing to learn & try. 🙏🤘

@@cantskate5535 👍 and i suggest de redging in conjunction with increasing lean because increasing lean will increase turning. Combine that with the small wheelbase on that board and it might become too turning or sensitive at speed.

@@ChickenNoodle883🙏 yes will do both
@ChickenNoodle8832 ай бұрын
@@cantskate5535 note that de redging will add height and adding height will of course make the setup more tippy. And the near trucks are already relatively tall trucks. So just try slightly softer bushings and see if that helps you.

Epic board choice, I just got one as well and am riding the same width trucks. Absolutely love it, good luck with your skating adventures!

Awesome and good luck as well in your adventures. Still getting use to them. Just put on the 180 mm Caliber with 44/35 split. Love the board. Trying to use it without a torque board and we’ll see how it goes.

hey =) cool to see that you try to improve on narrow trucks. We talked about it in the last video =). I have a cruiser Board (31 inch) with almost the exact shape as the Pantheon Lisa Peters. There is not much concave and no drops i think. You have only the wheel flares as a reference point. Your phoenix has 2 nice drops. big wheel flares , and you ride a torgue Block too right? If you look at the try at 1:06 you can see that you are not "locked in" to the Deck, that why you feel of the Board. The Lisa Peters Pantheon is significantly harder to ride. But I´m in Love with 9 inch single Kicks 🛹❤ that why i ordered my Rocket Leon v2 yesterday haha. love your content, and sry for the bad english.

Thank you for the additional notes-very helpful. I do plan to put on Venom torque block and Riptide foot slab to see if it helps. Thank you for the support. Will trying this set up this weekend when I’m back in California.
@florianleonhardt6202 ай бұрын
@@cantskate5535 a foot slap will surely improve your weight distribution on the Pantheon Board, since there is no reference point (no drops , low concave). And i ride a torgue block too, about 2/3 of the stock thickness. I`m about to test negative rake at the weekend. I´m curious how it will feel and slide. 🛹

@@florianleonhardt620 cool, look forward to your test. I’ll be testing this weekend. Just found out running barrel board side and plug on street side. Think it’s more my weight distribution than anything, but we’ll see.

Sick video bro. I’m curious on your choice of truck width. You mentioned stability, Athena seems to take up to 150mm max (for optimal performance, I’m sure you already know that)
@cantskate5535Ай бұрын
Actually didn’t know that, so thank you and makes sense why I lose control. Will be playing around with truck widths and currently have 180mm Caliber with split 44/35. Will be trying 157 mm for sure in the future.

What bushings are you running in your 50/40 split?
@cantskate55352 ай бұрын
Front: white street/pink board Back: gray street/green board Not sure if Venom.

@@cantskate5535 Pink and green sound like Venom. But white and gray, probably not? Or maybe they're Venom SHR?
@cantskate55352 ай бұрын
@@nickamarit makes sense. I’m going to have more time this long weekend to have serious look at set-up and my technique. In short, I don’t think I need to lean as hard, and will be attempting to have better weight distribution for consistency of control? We’ll see.

@@cantskate5535 Are you running any plug barrels? Or are you running insert bushings instead of plug barrels?
@cantskate55352 ай бұрын
Just checked - street side plug barrel front & back.
