When an animal like a squirrel adopts you the way Briggs did, you are family to him. He's going to around forever.

I had baby squirrel mistake me for a tree. Crawled right up my leg. Took him home and of course named him Rocky. :) by the end of the summer Rocky was pretty much an outdoor tree rat by then. How ever I had him taught to come when I had treats for him. He actually played with our cats. He stuck around for maybe 2 years after that. If anyone that sees this loves dogs check out Pawsuasive Dog Teaching. My RubyDoo knows over 60 tasks. Help small channels out since youtube does its very best to screw small channels over.

Grey Squirrels will eat Wild Bird Peanuts, in UK we have a Grey Squirrel that comes to our bird feeder and steals the peanuts we give for the wild birds. The squirrel is quite a Houdini doing a Mission Impossible climbing a metal rod then hanging upside down feeding upside down. The squirrel comes every day. In UK Grey squirrels are not native to UK and carry a Pox virus that has almost eliminated the Red Squirrel which is native to UK. At the moment the UK government wants to cull Grey Squirrels so that Red Squirrels can return, but I enjoy the entertainment our Grey Squirrel gives us each day.

My parents rescued one, I don’t remember how long they had him, but maybe a year, then he returned to the wild. I also rescued a Blue Jay, at first it didn’t understand when I was trying to reintroduce it, but in a few days it was doing fine. I guess it was probably a female, nested in our yard the next year.

I have a 1025R, had a 3033R prior to that. The 1025R has issues with the air cleaner housing being bolted to the aluminum valve cover so parts can fall down into the engine when it breaks off. You have to remove a headlight to change the battery. The mower deck is almost impossible to adjust. There is a grease fitting that must be accessed through a hole from under the tractor which means you have to line the driveshaft up with the hole. The hydraulic fitting covers do not stay in place, they just hang there. The brake issue that you mentioned here. The ROPS is designed to remove your overhead garage door, but on the good side, it offers adequate protection for your average 9' - 7" tall tractor driver. My 3033R blew out most of the hoses on the backhoe. JD is going the way of many manufacturers by outsourcing production, using cheap parts, and locking you into JD-only service with their electronics and software. I firmly believe that the primary qualification to become a JD engineer is not the degree and experience, but the fact they put their arm over their shoulder to wipe their arse. Another great video, keep up the good work!
@truracer203 ай бұрын
Being 6'7" I applaud JD for building their ROPS to accommodate my height. The ROPS has to be higher than the operator by more than you think. As far as your garage door goes, maybe you need to talk to a doctor about your memory? I park my garden tractor in a small shed and I haven't yet in 20 years forgotten to duck going in or out. And from my early days of working in garages I follow the rule of always fully opening overhead doors.
@MorganOtt-ne1qj3 ай бұрын
The people who design/engineer for most manufacturers are not the people who use and definitely don't maintain or repair the stuff. It's really a universal problem, not brand specific.
@elained95913 ай бұрын
I also have a 1025 R that’s under the recall. The problem with JD besides the fact that they’re moving to Mexico is they do t take critiques, any suggestions or complaints goes on the dealer. I had to change the seat to a zero turn because their so called ergonomic seat killed my repaired lumbar. It was the first thing I changed. When I first heard of the recall, I think Courtney mentioned it on Good Works Tractor who referenced Tractor Time with Tim. I had to go get parts at my dealer and asked, they hadn’t even opened their notice allegedly and there was someone buying a 1025 which they were not allowed to sale! They weren’t happy with me. I picked the 1025R because of the mowing deck. It’s not as easy as they say getting it attached and don’t try it on concrete! It slips and goes sideways. I got it out from under it, took it to the gravel drive and used a fulcrum with a digging bar and a bunch of short timbers left over from the new pole barn. Ended up with a couple of tears in my shoulder and a pinched nerve in my neck back on Mother’s Day! Guess my digging bar wasn’t long enough. Oh and I’ve always had an issue with the FEL and complained a lot about the left dropping lower than the right. Eventually a mechanic identified the supposed issue being the long silver pin that goes from arm to arm being bent. Mechanic and everyone else thought it was covered under warranty except JD. Bought the new one, wanted the old but they’d already tossed it. Called and complained to JD, they said normal wear and tear, oh and I was probably over using it! The woman told me that if the dealership hadn’t been documenting it that would have been the issue. They had not been documenting it, she looked. That little dang zerk that has the too small hole for greasing got covered by the mechanic with the electrical wires for the MCS. I went off since I was doing maintenance on it with my bum shoulder. But I finally received my letter two weeks ago!

When I was an engineering apprentice back in the 1960's we had a design dept. and a quality control dept. So the design dept. knew what they were doing so the designs were good problems were rare. The quality control dept. were meticulous nothing left the factory that wasn't 100% within spec. As a company we struggled to compete solely on price but in the longer term we succeeded because of the quality of the product. A valuable lesson I learned in my teens so when I buy something now I do my research I don't buy the cheapest I also don't very often have to return a product due to a fault.
