Yeah, I'm sure money has more than a bit to do with it. But as they said in the video, Kelly would be able to recruit players to LSU that he can't or couldn't at ND due to academic restrictions. Further, the south is a more fertile recruiting area.

No, he will be outrecruited by Alabama, Georgia AND Clemson for two years (when Saban is expected to retire - assuming he is TRYING to follow in Saban's pattern), and finish middle-of-the-pack in the SEC for two years. By the time the 'Bama coaching spot opens, he will be on the hot-seat at LSU. This was a BAD decision by Kelly, AND by LSU. He will turn 61 in his first season at LSU - making him almost 10 years OLDER than the coaches at Georgia and Clemson. If he loses all three of those games next year ('Bama, Clemson and Georgia), he will be a 20-something ranked team, playing in the "Stop Tooth Decay Bowl".

Doubtful. Michigan will probably beat Iowa in the B1G title game and they will get in before ND. If Bama and GA have a close game and the Tide wins, they could both get in. OK St probably has a better chance of making it to the playoffs than ND. Cincy should beat Houston and they could make it if the committee doesn't push them out because they aren't in a power 5 conf. Cincy is ND's only loss so I don't see an undefeated Cincy not making it over a team they beat.
