There needs to be a new bus design that protects bus drivers separated at the entrance of the bus from the public including a scanning system that detects fire arms and knives carried by the general public, including an emergency button available for the bus driver which alerts the police to the location of the problem bus. As it now stands Seattle has become a dangerous place to live. I used the Seattle bus system for years which was one of the greatest bus systems in America, however, the way things are trending in Seattle, I would never use the Seattle bus system including light rail from the SEATAC airport unless two policemen were on board at all times.

All they have is a plexiglass that folds in to cover the driver during stops and that's it. Doesn't stop any reaching in. Banks have panic buttons, I'm suprised schools and buses don't even have these.
