Ander Herrera was leaps and bounds better technically, probably one of the most underrated players we ever had, and he was the player that unlocked Pogba when Pogba actually played well for us. Ugarte is better in the defensive side of the game, many people criticise his technical capabalities, though I suspect he plays simple by design rather than due to lacking skill

I think it's more a question of addressing the issues that Casemiro was deficient in... Basically, a younger Casemiro wouldn't have left our midfield as exposed as it was last season. His first season with us in partnership with Eriksen worked well,and Ugartè with Kobbie should be an upgrade. From that perspective, do you think it works, or are you still of the opinion that he just isn't that guy?

It's pointless reading out stats between different players that play in different countries against different oppositions. The stats will always be incomparable. Stats will also be different because the teams play different styles of football. Teams like Benfica and PSG have a lot of the ball, whereas Everton plays defensive and doesn't keep much possession.
