@@1chideshon98 In my opinion Southern is taking a slow approach. They signed a RB from Lab, and have commitments from a DB from Catholic, OL from Zachary, and a JC OL. Only 1 singed, 3 committed, but they have offered several players. They seem to be primarily targeting DBs and OL. They also offered an Ath., OLB, QB, and multiple other DBs.

I can't say that I am surprised that he's leaving. But to be fair about it, he was given a reasonable chance to have the starting QB position. As you said, good for him EXCEPT for when he plays the Jaguars.

@@soundproof75 Happy holidays. I appreciate your continued support. I’m not surprised either, but he definitely was given every opportunity to be the permanent starting QB but he was extremely inconsistent. I wish him well except when he plays against Southern. 😂🤣😂🤣

I just put allegedly just in case I had inaccurate information or just in case Zae pulled a Clifton McDowell. He was supposed to come to Southern and ended up at Montana St. Left there and was supposed to come to PV and ended up at McNeese St.

@@FunkyD50 He has a great deal of upside and potential but he’s very inconsistent. As a QB he’s feast or famine. Certain points during the season he played well and at other times he struggled. The only thing he was consistent at was being inconsistent. You can see him play online in the 2024 SWAC Championship game. He’s the second best of the 3 QBs Southern played this season. As a SU fan I would have preferred to keep him as the backup as a security blanket but I don’t think he was going to start at Southern barring injury to the other QB. Jaylen Woods (the guy that took his spot and started in The Bayou Classic).

@ Damn. So, we’re getting a mediocre, inconsistent QB. Not good. We need a capable QB to compete with SU. Myles had his own issues and I know Mickey got frustrated with him. So, he has to do a better job recruiting QBs. And you were right, Kornblau could not play well. May he RIP, however.

@@billybob-tl2tb I’m aware of that. His offense was trash this season at gsu and last season at Southern, but I’m speaking from the perspective of Jalen Woods is a better fit for Mark Fredrick’s offense under Coach Graves. Teasett is more of a Dooley player from what I see.

Best wishes to the kid. I don't know what Grambling or anyone else is offering him to pull him from The Bluff. All I know is with him being from Baton Rouge he is loved by a lot of fans that have seen him play for years. Wherever he goes, he'll not only be developing to earn a starting position, but he'll have to build a new following with that team. Again, best wishes to him. I pray he is making a wise decision and not an emotional decision.

Ha Marcus Jacoby's mother was one of my Physical Therapists at that time she was so proud of him and she would just gush about him every time I went to therapy lol. She was sweet so I didn't have the heart to tell her that her son was not that good lol
