Great news reporting!!!! We steered away from Camping World when they wanted to charge a fee for not taking their financing. There are other companies we ran into 2023 that had the same bad practices as Camping World.

Glad to see someone is holding them accountable. We had our camper repaired by them, and it was not finished when it was promised, and it wasn't fixed properly. They replaced my entire axle and charged me to inspect the old brakes even though the new axle included new brakes. I wrote several emails to the President, and finally received $250.00 not as reimbursement for the brake inspection, but for the time my auto mechanic spent trouble shooting a short in the braking system...there was an exposed uncapped wire in the axle that shorted the system everything it came in contact with the axle. I never got an apology from Camping world, and the 250 was in the form of a camping world debit card, so they got their money back. I wouldn't purchase ANYTHING FROM THEM EVET AGAIN. I hope other states look into their practices and bankrupt them.

They had no label attached to my 2023 primetime Sanibel .which I should charge them with the lemon law because my new off the lot trailer has more things wrong with it. Than I probably even have found in it I've owned it since August of 2024

This is probably just the TIP of the iceberg with Camping World. It will be interesting to see which other states (if not all of them!) have had the same issues.

I stopped into a Portland CW asking about adding a power awning to my little 14 ft. trailer. They couldn't be bothered to look up from their computers to help me. Worst service EVER!

We have never had any luck with their service department. When you walk up to the desk, nobody looks up or acknowledges you. When someone finally looks up, they act like you are interrupting their day. We had leak from one of our ceiling vents. They kept it for a month and said they couldn't find a leak. Finally we had another dealership look at it. They repaired it in 3 days.

Would love to get my added fees back from our RV we purchased from them 7 years ago. Yes, we got stuck with those fees.

They need to investigate Florida! They did it to me with warranties i didnt need ! totalling almost 10 ,000 i put 12,000 down and it was supposed to be on sale 45 thousand i walked away with owing 49000 no promises kept charging me almost 200 bucks for mobil visit if my brandnew rv tow it to them which i use as my primary home and they knew that has something wrong with it ? Its just not what it was supposed to be like im physically not able most of the time i dont own a truk i had to sell my home bc inflation and increase in property taxrs i work so hard i am too trusting and should c have paid attention when signing 😢

I know they did the same to me with the warranties .because the warranties don't come into effect till after the original manufactured warranty ends .if you can even get them to call back when you have a warranty issue with the trailer

Did they even let you do a test drive. I went to the Kissimmee FL CW (before I knew better) they wouldn't give me the time of day. I was a single woman. SMH They refused to let me take it for a test drive. So did the Chichester NH CW.

They weren't fined a single penny. They were ordered to issue refunds. There is a very large distinction between that and a fine.

If a judge had the authority--I'd love to see the people actually responsible for the crime do the work of sending out the checks and writing letters of apology to the people who were wronged. Camping World would have to pay for someone of the Judge's choosing to go in and supervise this work!

We had them replace the bearings on our camper, 1000 miles out drivers side seized, causing us serious delays and $$$$$. After going right to the top, they refused any reimbursement. They were charging $1,000.00 per axle at that time.

I am a FORMER camping world technician of 3 years there. I have seen first hand everything that is in these comments from service advisor treatment of customers to campers being on the lot a month to a year with no repairs completed. I have seen the extremely overpriced shipping , parts and general merchandise on retail floor. The labor rate is $190 per hour for customers but camping world gives insurance breaks on labor fees upwards of half the labor rate. Technicians are forced to be paid flat rate which i do not understand being there is no labor book rate like in the auto world of a breakdown on the time to perform specific jobs . Labor time will vary from technician to technician , one technician may charge 1.5 hours but the next technician may charge 3 hours . Camping World not only screws over customers but also their Technicians as well . Ashamed of even working there at camping world central Illinois .

Thought I had learned my lesson in Texas. Water heater repair greatly overpriced. Did not check electric. Replaced most of propane parts. Did not mention new water heater which would have been cheaper. Arrived at destination replaced on/off switch which I had in camper water heater worked. Then in Ky arranged for slide topper replacement. After installing and charging $200 over estimate. Then informed us our unit should not slide topper. $1100.00 dollars later.

All dealerships need to be shuttered. They have no vested interest in providing a quality customer experience. It’s time the manufacturers adopt a direct to consumer business model. Manufacturing warranty/service/delivery centers should then be opened nationwide by manufacturers to close the consumer dissatisfaction woes that occur due to shady dealership practices.

I think Camping World as a whole is a crooked organization. I purchased one new Keystone Cougar from them. I did not have a good experience. I will never darken their door again...

Yeah I boycotted them. And spent enough time telling people about my experience and urging people not to go there, that they lost at least 6 RV sales from me alone.

Back in the day, I had their insurance, and was double charged... After cancelling, they did give me a refund... It left a bad taste in my mouth...

I would NEVER buy ANYTHING from Camping World again. They lied about the registration and it’s cost, they promised to park it where we needed & they refused once they got here. When we went into camping world to originally look, they kept showing us campers double our budget. It was like 105 outside & my mother can’t walk well so they got a golf cart to take us around, but then another employee came & took it while we were looking. I told him to bring it back due to a disability & he refused. My mother almost passed out it was so hot & literally no one cared. Eventually she got a used one from Idaho. They briefly & barely did a walk thru with my mother when they delivered it to CA. I’ve been living in it & boy oh boy were there things wrong with it. I took panels off, drawers out & went under the couch & the grime was so thick it took hours to deep clean. On top of everything other hassle, the building quality was cheap junk at best. Stevie Wonder could have built it better. Every single pipe going into it has giant gaps I had to fill, screws weren’t even in some of the wood areas if any were at all. A lot of the internal wood on the framing was split, all of the window coverings fell off & that’s when I saw the ginormous 6 foot window in the back had a huge gap & wasn’t flush to the wall. All of the pipes underneath it are rusted too. Air comes in through the flooring & door so much you can feel it blowing. I want to just gut it & remodel it to make sense with quality materials, but I don’t quite know how to safely disconnect the stove, gas, wiring, etc. it’s like a 21 foot camper, so not too big. But the list goes on & on. They are absolutely a scam company. Next time I’ll just put a tough shed on a trailer & make it a tiny house like I did once before. Can you direct me where to learn about gutting it?

Walked into a Camping World shortly after they opened in my area. Reminded me of the Bass Pro Shop for campers. Haven't been back since. Obviously a corporate model with high prices and junk imported goods. Why anyone would buy a camper from them is beyond me. A friend of ours was considering buying a new TT and asked what we knew about CW. I told him to take a ride on a Monday morning to their service center and speak to customers who were dropping off their rigs. He called me Monday morning on the way home and thanked me for suggesting this. Said that he spoke to half a dozen customers who claimed it was the worst experience they had ever encountered after buying a big ticket item. Everyone of which told him don't buy a camper from them.

We walked into a camping wowrld once--we were so disgusted. We were there about 10 minutes and found several mistakes or poor products in the campers we walked through. We bought a cargo trailer and we like it a lot. It's plain and simple, not at all finished, but what we have is not defective!

I got them at there game and had to give us 500 free in store free spare tire and that spray coating is bs for 1700 and you can't get out of them showing you the camper for 1700 dollars I'm not a 1st time user I need nothing unless I ask

I got a coleman 17b 6 months ago in Swedesboro camping world and I went to buy a 2024 left over as advertised and they said only 2025 left and they were 2500 more cause of solar little did they know I campers they tried this 100%

In other words, Camping World has to play by the rules now. So why'd they ever stop? It was already a billion dollar business. Greed is so rampant nowadays! When these kinds of businesses have to give the money back, think of all the interest on all the ill gotten gain they got to keep. Why did Camping World and the RV industry decide to start ripping off their customers? Customers who've made them all rich💰. Where's the loyalty?

Experienced RV'ers generally avoid Camping World. Their reputation is really bad. Nobody has a single good thing to say about them in the RV forums.

Won’t even buy TP from camping world . They are horrible . I have bought 2 trailers from camping world 1st time unknowing , 2nd time only place that had specific floor plan / model I wanted . Camping world Valencia ca and camping world new braunsfels Tx , both were the worst experiences ever. 2nd purchase was worse than the first . I just purchased a washer dryer combo for our 5th wheel ( not bought from camping world ) . Paid more from somewhere else just to avoid supporting such a horrible company .

About time those guys at CW get what's coming to them. I hope NH does the same. Maybe they will start investigating their service issues and costs to their consumers as well. They attempted to charge me double over every other dealership for repairs, jerks. I hope they stick it to them good.

Almost bought a Keystone Cougar 260MLE at the Hershey show but the so said manager did sooooo crazy (increased the price by 30% and treated us like sh.t) when we came back to sign on day , that we left the show and drove back home !!! Anyway, their methods are dishonest, and they have exactly zero consideration for their customers.

Camping World are a bunch of crooks. I put a $1000 deposit down on a camper and they assured me it was refundable. Well when I tried to get my deposit back I had to threaten to call the police in Chattanooga, TN. After I threatened to call the police they did give me my money back but...the manager bumped into me and nearly knocked me down on my way out the door. I hope they go out of business!!!!!
