Any idea what the reformulated Bois D'argent will smell like? Fingers crossed one of the fragrances they introduce will be an oud as I find Francis did some excellent ouds under MFK.

I just received my dior privee trilogy...I never smelled the OG cologne blanche or eau noire, but this...I LOVE. Love lavendar, licorice and cologne blanche was very unexpected, I love that you can smell the spices, caraway maybe. I paid $450 for the limited edition trilogy

I have seen this set online, it is called La Trilogie Initiale, 360 per 3 bottles. Meaning 120 euro/bottle, meaning basically the same price bought separately. I could swear though that just 5-6months ago they were like 90 euros a bottle. Like, 30 euro increase! Crazy!!

Correct Natalia 🙏🏻💖 and they used to cost even less… they were around 85 euro … now 120 a bottle… but I think they should have made the trilogy box cheaper than if one bought each bottle individually because they give you just one box with the trilogy while you get the cool round boxes per bottle when you buy them singularly… but at this point I do not know if they will release the three perfumes as separates in 40ml. They will be released as separates in their 250ml bottles and maybe even in their 125ml bottles but I am not sure they will release them as individual separates 40ml bottles after the trilogy boxes sell out…

The only one I really liked from all those is Oud Ispahane, maybe Patchouli Imperial a bit but I can’t say I’m gutted over those news lol Though I’m surprised they don’t try to get rid of Gris Dior as well, since is a good one. Dior doesn’t like people to get used to a fragrance for too long, when is starting to be a best seller they get rid of it, so bloody strange …it’s like they’re trying to p*** off the customers instead of pleasing them 🤦‍♀️😆 Prices were already increased here in Uk a while ago …tiny bottle of 40 ml is £110 and the ones in houndstooth print boxes are £120, it’s laughable really I have hopes MFK will try to save Dior fragrance industry because at this rate it’s going down. I can confirm that Patchouli Imperial is discontinued. Prices in Germany were also raised: 40 ml were last year 89 Euro, now 120 Euro. 125 ml used to be 225 Euro until a week ago or so, now 240 Euro. They seem to get rid of the small bottles. I wish they'd discontinue Jasmin des Anges, that one was a huge disappointment (bland, utterly forgettable and doesn't last at all). A nice surprise was Tobacolor, surprisingly delicious even for an unisex and veeery long lasting.

I bought the trio while depressed after receiving the news that my car was officially dead. Thank you for the breaking news about possible discontinuations. I was able to find 7.5ml splash bottles of PATCHOULI IMPÉRIAL and BELLE DU JOUR. This should be enough for me - and considerably cheaper than my replacement car will be.

Hello Dacob, I heard the same about Belle de jour here in France. I have no clue about the other ones. I'm wondering what will become of Mitzah and Cuir cannage. I hope they will bring it back to the permanent collection. Still, the new ones will come without any dyestuff. So don't be shocked if you see Eau noire coming back but loosing its dark green colour 😅 I heard that they will do the same to the whole collection. The set of Eau noire, Cologne blanche and Bois d'argent is already available here, I think for 360€ and it seems to be a limited edition.

I bought and received the ltd ed triptych more than a week ago and have been testing them out. I also own the original three (bought them in 2004 and 2005 and 2009). Umm...so look, Cologne Blanche is NOT the same as the original. Kurkdjian did an exceptional job of facsimileing it, but IFRA has effed up any hope of genuine fidelity. Tant pis 😣

The Chanel price increase hurt. I am not crying over this one. 🤣 The original trilogy were the only temptation. MFK is a brilliant perfumer but he makes commercial decisions. He is a businessman first. He axed Absolue pour le Soir, which was too artistic to have mass appeal. (I loved that one!) Meanwhile, his line is filled with expensive fabric softner-esque, office-friendly concoctions. I predict he was brought onto Dior to do exactly this.

@Lia Andrews sorry but I have to disagree with you. I recently smelled the re-released trilogy and my experience is quit the opposite (for now). I'm glad they re-released Cologne Blanche. It is really good and exactly what it used to be. The Eau Noire has more oomph than my Demachy bottle and Bois D' Argent I can actually smell now and is closer to the Menardo version than the thinned down version of Demachy. The differences are very subtle , but they are there. Personally for us perfume lovers I think it was a good decision to bring Kurkdjian in. Now , for the prices , that's a different story.

Urgh I still struggle to find the original Dior Homme I bought in 2006. It's been my got too for years. I got my hands on a 100 ml bottle about 6 months ago. However I had to haggle with the lady to give me this in the form of the display bottle only, as they weren't supposed to sell that one but they didn't actually have it in, in fact she didn't even know the proper description of it . Everywhere I went they had no idea which one it was.. It's like it never existed. Was it discontinued years ago ?

Dior Homme Original is available for order from the Dior website across the EU but not in most other countries or continents. the old Dior Homme is now called “Dior Homme Original” so it has technically not been fully discontinued even though its no longer distributed worldwide.

I remember buying 2 bottles at Vegas last Feb when it was $210 a bottle, came back a day later to get 2 more and was told the price went up to $235? Fortunately, the manager, who sold me 2 bottles the day before, agreed to price match the old price. Dior has not released anything great lately (Eden Roc imho) and with the price of $310, I will probably look into second hand market like eBay/Mercari.

I am not happy at all with Dior price increase. Dior better deliver on the quality of their perfumes with this price increase. I wanted to buy Rose Gypsy, but I will not pay $310 for a 4.25oz when two days ago the perfume was $260. I love patchouli imperial . I bought the big bottle for my husband. Sexy, manly and elegant perfume. Today, I bought Balade Sauvage from their Diorviera line, I paid 260$ for it. Hopefully, it is not a watered down version. I am debating if I should buy the trio. From my intel, what I was told is that allegedly bois d’argent is still the same formula as the one we had these past few seasons. I have the og release of balade sauvage in the 40ml and I like it a lot. A great fig based scent. I reviewed it here on my channel. Not sure how the current formula smells though.

Insane price increase right before the release of the og trio… which quite frankly made me not want to purchase the trio anymore… at least not for now… not worth the price in my opinion. I will probably wait for them to release the perfumes individually first before purchasing them in bigger bottles… as that way at least I get a slightly better cost per milliliter ratio… small consolation but its at least something and I have heard that bois d’argent is the same formula as the current one available in other sizes too. I already have bois d’argent so I just want the new Eau Noire and the new Cologne blanche. So I will wait for them to release these two separately.
