I would love to believe that the FBI is morally sound, especially considering they oversee investigation and prosecution of police officers who break the law. There are thousands of those. I used to KNOW that the FBI was incorruptible to political inputs, except in the case that something goes to a presidential pardon.... Nowadays, that pardon mechanism is Joe Biden. So I don't trust it at all. The FBI is being used to attack political opponents and citizens, simple citizens. Not someone famous, just regular people.

The FBI (regardless of which party is in power) has been out of control for decades. I am a retired cop. I have three close, close friends of over 30 years that are so fed up with the corruption in that agency that they cant stand it. The ONLY reason that they do not leave is that they are all within 3 years of retirement. They absolutely despise the politically motivated leadership of the agency. They have no respect for them. The stories that they have told me makes my blood boil. I just sent a text to one and asked if the FBI could put them on indefinite unpaid leave and then deny them a new job elsewhere and he said yes. But he also said that if he was in that position he would tell the the agency “TGF Itself” and get a job. What can they do to me? Fire me? Corruption runs rampant. I work in the Federal Court system now. I also have seen firsthand just how corrupt the DOJ and the FBI are. They trump up charges on people that do not bow down to them. I tell every and anyone that asks to never talk to the FBI. Never. I do not support defunding the police by any means. Feds aren’t the police. Police are local, county, and state officers. Not feds. I think the FBI and most other federal agencies need to be dismantled and rebuilt. Always have. Always will.
