To be fair, there are not enough rooms to have one held exclusive for each individual committee and subcommittee. Particularly for public hearing settings. The rooms are shared and scheduled, and the name plates swapped out for each different group. Thus it is inevitable that a smaller committee will leave a large number of empty seats in the room, as only committee members are allowed in those seats. Other members of Congress who wish to be present can only be seated in the visitor/media gallery during the session.

DARPA's LifeLog (part of the Dept of Defense) program was built to do the following according to Wikipedia. "an ontology-based (sub)system that captures, stores, and makes accessible the flow of one person's experience in and interactions with the world in order to support a broad spectrum of associates/assistants and other system capabilities". I am a Canadian that left Canada with my family and moved to the US weeks before the trucker protest in Canada. The protest and the government response to that protest solidified and supported my decision. The US constitution has to certainly be one of if not the greatest piece of government legislation ever written. The US government would love to have the level of control over its citizens that the Canadian government has over its citizens. There is one thing stopping them, and it is the foundation of your nation based on the constitution, which enshrines personal rights and freedoms as part of being a US citizen. Land of the free and home of the brave, I am greatful to be a guest with the ability to work and contribute to the US with the goal of becoming a naturalized citizen.

Ikr. People either are so afraid of the villains that the news channels show. Or they have the "if you're not doing anything wrong you don't have to worry" or "they can't watch everyone" mentality. There's cameras every corner,house,phones. They have facial recognition etc and with AI processing they CAN watch and put together with CONTEXT, EVERYTHING. and it will organize and keep record or everything. They could even have drones that enforce in real time. If they got rid of all street crimes, then they stop petty crime,traffic crime etc.. Do they stop there and then we live happily in utopia? Or do they move the goal post and constantly crack down on every little thing that they don't prefer? We may see, the world finally conquered under one banner. The perfect dictator who finally enslaves the entire world, and for the first time they'll finally have stripped the one thing that they could never take from the slaves of every era, HOPE. There would be no hope, no possibility od escape (every inch of the world accounted for) not even the hope of ending oneself. It's like a karmic irony for the conditions our cattle and chickens (factory farming, I'm not against ranching traditionally) that we may live in that way soon.

Dr Peterson, you were brilliant as ever at this important US House Judiciary committee. I'm in the UK and we have had people being de-banked here too, from politician Nigel Farage to a retired vicar who questioned why his bank had to have rainbow flags etc in their branches during a certain month during the summer. It is appalling what happened to the truckers and their supporters in Canada. I wonder if they can all take a class action against the Canadian government and the banks ? They all deserve ample financial compensation. You gave a great speech here, as well as succinct answers to the questions you were posed. I'm a genuinely big fan of Dr. Peterson, bought multiple of his books and online programs, and his presentation was fantastic. But I still have to laugh at him a bit when he said, "Do I have my 5 minutes or do I not?" after speaking for 7 and a half minutes. Then he said "10 more seconds" and proceeds to go for 6 times that duration. I hope that was by design because that's the subtlest form of comedy I've ever seen if he did that on purpose.🤣🤣

LOL I was just thinking time flies when one is "correctly oriented toward the mark", to use his turn of phrase. At the beginning he was stilted and frequently referred to his notes, but by the end he was winging it and performed the verbal equivalent of dancing.
