I like the new price, but I feel cautious about buying a RED in 2024. Are you certain Nikon will support a camera with a Canon mount? Once Nikon gets rid of the RED inventory, support for the Komodo X may stop.

Its a smart move by Nikon. Even though cameras like the Canon C400, Sony Fx6, Sony Fx9 ii (whenever that drops), are really not true competitors cinema wise; this will still have most purchasers 2nd guessing on if they should purchase those others cameras. Because the used market is going to be insane. Also if Nikon can deliver an update to those cameras, that can help them auto focused wise (just a little), well then, this will be a major disruptor.

Yep, OG owner here, I'm not mad, way I see it, ill be able to upgrade to the X quicker, for less... And at 7k new, that's gonna seriously compete with the newcomer (c400)
