My daughter, Christina was murdered while living on the streets after enduring a nightmarish situation. I was told for 9 months that it was sue-icide, even though there was no bullet or weapon found on scene. It was only after the same man took the life of another woman in the same apartment, that he was finally charged with ONE count for TWO lives taken. I believe that because of her situation, her case has been completely ignored and messed up. She struggled with mental illness, was all alone, became sex trafficked, and the system has failed her. I tried continuously to find help for her, but nobody would listen; constant rabbit holes of automated phone transfers. I need help, I need an attorney w/the ''cojones'' enough to stand up for my daughter. I have been looking for someone such as yourself. I am not letting this go. I am trying to bring awareness and fight for those whose voices are not being heard, and have been for 3 years this Christmas. There is already a full feature film coming out next year in honor of her, showing her struggles on the streets, etc. This will be a big deal for whatever attorney who stands with us. That is the problem, however, not many people left out there willing to fight for what our public servants swore to protect these days... I will also be sharing this video, and quite probably doing a live review with this on my channel soon. I hope you don't mind. This needs to be shared though, and I am grateful for your passion-you will be given all credit due. If you do not want this, please let me know and I will take it down if you want. I will be sending you an email this afternoon. THANK YOU for caring enough to realize this is a problem, thank you for being human. I am now a subscriber.

@Section8Consulting Hey. I'm in rural northern california. The section 8 housing here is either brand new and fought over with a 5 year waiting list, OR the buildings are in such disrepair that if they were reported, they'd get shut down. People living without water and electricity, or having flooding their living rooms and black mold everywhere. These people have no place to go, and we have so many poor people who aren't homeless yet but they are on waiting lists they keep getting knocked off of. No one is reporting these problems because taking away the few available places is worse than living in terrible conditions. I regularly am trying to talk a friend out of suicide because he's been waiting so long he's lost hope. He's not alone in this.

@flatpicker56633 ай бұрын
If *enough* folks showed up, it probably would do some good. This reminds me of something I read about Portland, Oregon not too long ago: Portland, Oregon came up with some kind of legislation that said you could sleep on public property, but you could not use any kind of camping gear while doing so. This is a rotten twisted law, like a lot of other laws. Using as much as a sleeping bag or blanket would cause a violation. What this translates into is that it's OK to go ahead and sleep on public property, but you have to be willing to freeze to death if you do. I also found out that in the Eugene/Springfield, Oregon area, it has to be below freezing before homeless shelters open up. I think they open up when it's around 28 degrees F. and that is below freezing.

It’s time for the Christian church in America to stand up and take responsibility. I am a 78 year old widow living on social security. I live in a two bedroom house and I am helping homeless people. I lived in my living room for over a year so that two homeless women could live in my bedrooms. I also had homeless people living in a can in my backyard. This is what I feel Jesus would do.

I think the Supreme Court or others from Grand Pass Oregon who have voted for this should be forced into homelessness.

This should come under 'Human Rights' surely. A lot of people are homeless all over the world since rentals have sky rocketed. Whole families! Building stopped during covid and now building materials are over the top priced. Homes are not being built quick enough because very few can afford the new pricing. This is inhumane and backwards.

Unless you have a 14 day permit, within designated camping season, it is illegal to live in the forest too. There is no enchantment there to be found either. This is a nation on a track of reeeeeetardation...

Homelessness could be prevented by making it law landlords can charge no more than one hundred dollars per bedroom,ban credit scores, credit checks,ban evictions for everything other than non payment of rent,ban unconstitutional pet rents,pet deposits,pet fees. Eliminate all property taxes nationwide.

Why is this SCOTUS even hearing cases like this? It use to be very difficult to get a case before the SC. This SCOTUS is hearing everything but the kitchen sink. I would think it is unconstitutional to make homelessness a crime; what happend to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness?

I live on the outskirts of Redding, California. There are many homeless camps out here and for the past couple of weeks the police have been out here with their dump trucks doing sweeps. This is terrifying and I may sound like a conspiracy theorist, but I can't help but think that there is a larger agenda and plan going on here.

The Continuum of care program in illinois is super complicated. And I've waited 3 months for an appointment for my survivor's benefits.Imagine what a family would go through.That was living paycheck to paycheck and now they want to criminalize that. The survivors benefits appointments are four months out at social security So if somebody's husband dies in a car accident and they have kids They could literally end up evicted or foreclosed and now we criminalize this😤

My Dad used to warn me about vagrancy laws and said to make surr to keep money in my pocket to prove I wasn't indigent. So this new ruling harkens back to those laws. Actually, the government has more laws against all of us. They can arrest and jail anyone, even before this ruling came out, at any time. These already have all the laws to cart you away, never mind the poor, addicted and mentally ill.
