All the little things like the broken tamps you added will make the home more special. In the old days they would put an old boot in the walls ,or hidden in the attic to protect the house, sometimes a child’s or a man’s ..I believe it was to protect from evil, but it could have been other reasons too..Other houses have been found with other special things in like something special to the family,or a tin with little memories..But I really loved that idea of adding the tamp..Each layer makes it more like a home,it’s surprising how fast it’s moving now you have gone past the ground level..It must make you feel more excited to see it coming together now too.I think it’s incredible and an honour to be able to watch you all work on it..Sending love to you all 🥰

Some rules are made to be broken, especially if switching things up makes overall progress go better. Looks to me as if you are getting a lot of those little fiddly bits out of the way. Thank you for sharing. I liked how you connected the junction box from inside to the outside of the wall. Jumping up and down off those walls is going to get very difficult as the walls get higher. Your knees will pay a price. As opposed to a ladder, I would suggest that you build a staircase on wheels. It can be used for those needing to be on top of the wall for tamping and also for those with buckets.

If there’s such a thing as heavy-duty exterior outlet covers, those might be a good idea. The plastic covers can get blown off by wind.

Don't forget to seal the exterior openings so critters like wasps, ants, etc. can't get into interior. Ask Trent and Allie about their HVAC ducting problem they discovered (Utah mountain construction at 8,000 feet). Hint: invading wasps.

If AZ was anything like Albuquerque this summer, there were more monsoon events...the Desert Willows were literally blooming all summer. Our ornamrntal Purple Plum trees actually had A LOT of fruit on them (unusual to see conspicious fruit) this spring lasting thru mid-summer...very strange. Its odd how plants seem to just know when to sprint toward reproduction! Possibly a colder winter had something to do with it. Your swale is certainly a great water catchment, benefitting the deeper rooting trees.

It would be so nice to wash the clothes and hang them in the sun 🌞 to dry. However, here in sunny Florida, it has rained every day but 5, for almost 7 straight weeks, and the humidity at 85 to 100% means things don't dry...lol Imagine your temps, but water can't evaporate... it just accumulates... and gets wetter. At least when y'all sweat, it cools you. Here you get stickier, sweatier, and wetter and wetter... all the time, from the second you step out of the A/C... LoL However, we are never more than a couple feet from plentiful water! Everything is a trade off!!!

A thought on efficiency. It would be best if you were getting your gravel delivered to piles all the way around the house, and move your mixers to be right next to where you're laying bags. That way, you're not moving material unnecessarily and rehandling it. I'd even make a little bit of a bucket lift, so you can put a little funnel on the end of the mixer, straight into a bucket, lift it by winch, and into the bags. WAY less effort. You could probably do more with one less person per shift.

The kids are killing it with the dirt work! Do you have an estimate for how many tons will be required to fill all the bags? Jonathan and Ashley are doing an amazing job of keeping it all moving. I had to laugh when Jonathan said it was getting harder to get on top of the bags, followed by one of the dogs cleanly leaping right over the same spot. And I thought mowing an acre and a half with a manual reel mower, and shoveling the snow off our 300-foot driveway was tough.

Yes, after a long hard day being cleaned up and being on fresh sheets is wonderful! I love the braided garlic on the wall in the bedroom. No vampires! I'm glad you love your Birch mattress. Cat on a post! Window boxes up! Putting on outside electrical outlets. Yes, you must protect the pipe that goes through the hyperadobe bag. It's good to plan some outdoor outlets. Good thinking. I love the windows! Yay, bags between the windows. I'm glad you're having a hyperadobe workshop to teach this and get some help on your Roundhouse build! I wish I could come.
