According to Pro Football Focus, Kenny Clark led the Green Bay Packers and ranked 6th among the NFL defensive lineman with 66 total pressures in 2023-24. The deal will be the 3rd signed by Kenny Clark with the Green Bay Packers. His previous deal was for 4 years and $70 million. While drafted in 2016, Kenny Clark is still only 28 years old and doesn’t turn 29 until October. A 3 years and $64 million, Kenny Clark’s new deal averages $21.3 million per year. That number would put him just outside the top 10 among interior defensive linemen in average per year. Kenny Clark’s extension likely lays the groundwork for the Green Bay Packers to complete a new deal for Jordan Love, who reported to training camp on Sunday. Kenny is their best interior lineman and has been basically since drafted. He should be able to continue that level for another year or two depending on how draft picks progress or future picks or signings. That said I don’t think he’s anywhere near Chris Jones level and specially not Arron Donald level. So about $21m seems about right

With his extension it is obvious that Wyatt will leave at the end of his rookie contract. I also don't know if we have enough money to extend so many good players from the 2022 class where Tom will be the priority and if Rasheed continues with his developement they should extend him IMO it was better to wait if Wyatt exploits the potential that everyone believes he has and if so it was better to let Kenny go and select in the first round a run Stuffer and Wyatt will take Kenny's place

I’m perhaps one of the few who is against this extension. I think we already have his replacement on our roster. I haven’t been impressed with his game the last two years for this kind of money either. Stupid penalties, disappearing in stretches of games and basically not being elite. No All pro recognition, pro bowl recognition, I feel like he’s living off of two great years prior and being better than what we have had. I love KC, but I truly believe he’s on the downside. I sincerely hope I’m wrong. However, I think GB just overpaid a player today. He’s a new truck with many, many miles on it. Hopefully this doesn’t end up being a DB type of contract.
