Thank you for supporting Death Grip. Somehow, this video has garnered a bit of attention and we just wanted to say we appreciate the constructive feedback. To all the new audiences out there who don't know who we are: Death Grip is a collective of military enthusiasts based in Asia. We've based our work and inspiration around producing cinematics on screen. For some of the newer traffic coming into this video, we'd like to answer some of the reoccurring questions we've been seeing: Using white light for illumination in an almost pitch-black environment? - This was a conscious decision we made during the production of Breaking Point. For lack of a better excuse, we underestimated the amount of natural light in the location and our cameras were struggling to pick up quality footage without compromising exposure. If none of the actors on screen activated their white lights - there would be nothing to see. Moving forward, the plan is to be strategic in darker locations and invest in lighting equipment. Although we do not aim to be educational, we understand the concern here on authenticity. Night-seeing capabilities is a sensitive topic in our city, and we will not take the discussion public. SUT is lack lustered and important details are being missed. - This video was made almost a year and a half ago - back when most of us were still exploring the realm. Our pursue for knowledge in all things military has not stopped and the abundant resources available online has elevated the community's wider understanding on gunfighting in general. We hope to produce more videos in the future where we can integrate, adapt and explain on screen the things we have learnt throughout the years - both from non-professional and professional instructors. We are learning as we go and feedback, especially from retired or active personnel is greatly appreciated. For those who are knowledgeable, please feel free to share as well. We'd divert your attention to kzbin.info/www/bejne/g6LHmXWjbJuhrKMsi=9AmjRmCCBsFa1run - an amateur film produced by a group of university students in our city where some of Death Grip's member were invited to play a role. Staying in shape. - What can I say. Most of us are hitting the gym and eating to bulk. These Asian genes put us at a disadvantage but that won't stop us. Again, thank you for supporting Death Grip. We read all your comments, and everyone has been incredibly encouraging of our work. More to come.

The camera work is great. Nailed it. Actors seemed a bit stiff though. Movements seemed a bit forced and unnatural in some parts. Then there's the small details that were overlooked. There were things like reading and shifting through papers with night vision while also lighting up the desk with a flashlight. It's possible to do, but very impractical. Overall, great work.

My only complaint so far is when they are using NVGs they're turning their lights on and off the point of NVGs is to see in the dark without using white light and compromising their position if they're are targets in the building
@fn45tac1
@fn45tac1 Жыл бұрын
NVGs only have a singular focus setting at any one time. It's not like your eye that auto focuses when you look at something. User sets the NVG focus as typically infinite focus or at a set distance. When their down and transition from that distance to something up close like papers on a desk, the user can't see what's in front of them since it's a blurry blob of light. I stead of constantly manually adjusting focus on the NVGs, users will look under the NVGs and not through them. Obviously if you do this you need some sort of light source for your eyes to see, hence the use of white light. With multiple ambient light sources in the rooms and buildings, it stands to reason that throwing on a white light would be an acceptable risk as it would probably not stand out when in use amongst the other light sources that were present. Of course a little cheat code for this would.be to add adjustable apertures to the objective lenses of the NVGs that can be adjusted on the fly. These adjust how much light is allowed into the lenses. When the NVGs are set to infinite focus the user can dial the apertures almost completely closed and it brings close items into focus at the sacrifice of illumination. One could dial them closed and then use an IR illlunator to brighten the area that is being searched. This would negate the use of a white light. I didn't see any of these guys running apertures on their tubes so, white light it is.

Amazing cinematography and choreography with room clearing and close-quarter movement, you don't see this much in Hollywood but i'm glad you guys executed it amazingly. Hope ya guys continue to make more films in the future and keep up the amazing work! Also are you guys based in Hong Kong or Taiwan? K. Let's start from the top. You don't suit up before leaving BoO in an urban environment. Too many possibilities for the location to be compromised. You want to gear up within your mobile unit, or at a preselected location before you go in to hostile territory. The said vehicle should be something heavy duty and that has mass. V8 Van, Large Truck, etc. Night operations usually require all black gear, including helmet covers, boots, carrier, etc. On to mission. Never take elevators. Security can disable movement and you've just placed yourself within your own temporary jail waiting for the authorities to arrive. Let alone a horrible position to be in during an ambush. Proper foot work needs to be worked on, and rear position should never stop surveying the rear in an urban environment unless required to do so for support/conflict in the front. Weapon lights should never be used while operating NVGs do to splash occurring, and if any light is used it should be a very low red light (If having problems filming said scene without white light, use NVG (perspective of a unit member) or night vision digital camera.) And flashing glass door windows is not needed unless you plan to go into said room. Never exit the target zone from the same location you arrived at (To bypass an Ambush) unless unable to do so. Have someone in the car waiting (for a hastily exit) surveilling the extraction point during the entire mission incase extraction point is compromised. And lastly, remove all identifying markings for secret operations (Flags, etc) unless in war, and all apparel once leaving the extraction zone to not allow any civilians to identify said unit during operations. Otherwise decent job fellas.

Really thank you for ur advise/opinion. We was really struggling about want to make it more reality or make it more cinematic. For the example helmet white night on searching document on desk its not make sense when u using NVG. That's try to do more cinematic but we still keep close reality as much as we can. TBH this is my first time to planning this cinematic and gotta say its poor planning and not really doing great. But we will keep working more and make it better. Again thank you your comment and this mean a lot to me to how to improve more in coming project. Thank you and god bless. From: Rayman(director)

I loved most of this. The only nitpick that I can leave (considering I only have limited space to actually train in) is that you should be leaning *forward* into your gun, rather than letting the gun dictate your posture. Doesn't matter if it's real or not, training is the only way to make it look real. Real steel requires this so that you can absorb recoil properly. Airsoft recoil is virtually non existent, and when you're larping it's easy to tell. I appreciate the choreography! well done.

This is beautiful. I had no idea what was going intially until it got deeper in, which honestly made it all the better. Noting how old this filmed, the motions and overall play is very good imo. Personally, AR design was my favorite part. Now my only piece of slight iffyness is the patches. Normally you wouldn't want a giant flag patch dead of your vest. It works sure, but not only can someone notice it a tad bit eaiser, it also is an identifacation card if one is to go down. It's minor for a short film, but it is something that bugs me. Otherwise I don't really see anything wrong, it's all well made and preformed. 8.5/10 from me.

In most circumstances, yes, you'd absolutely want to have your rifle shouldered if you were going to be shooting. What you see here is strictly a close-quarters tactic when there is very limited space. Raising the stock above your shoulder can afford you greater use of angles and weapon manipulation in an environment like this.

Cool video. But if I was the security guard in that building, I would have had police SWAT teams surrounding it immediately and I would have lit that team up to inflict casualties to slow them down while then escaping from the building or moving to a flanking location or safe room, using security monitors cued to my phone, to watch their movements and report their location to the police. They would need a MUCH larger team to assault a building that I was in charge of security for. They would need a rapid -reaction force, sniper overwatch, decoy teams, diversion explosive charges, drones, drone operators, and many other assets. Modern security corporations today utilize AI assisted scanning cameras, covert metal-detection sensors (to detect high-levels of metal such as rifles) and other methods to detect and identify major threats. If you want to see what I'm talking about. Go to any oil corporation headquarters in Houston, Texas. There you will see REAL corporate security.
