The democrats are no longer the democrats that existed when i was growing up. They are now radicalized enemies of the United States. As this trial nears its conclusion, no one can deny that the American people have witnessed the absolute destruction of our once free Republic. Make no mistake, this is how dictatorships are born. With your own eyes, you’ve seen the ruling party (Crooked Joe’s regime) weaponize the legal system to try and destroy its leading opponent by any means possible - whether that be the “corporate death penalty,” removing Trumps name from the ballot, financial ruin, or even LIFE in prison as a completely innocent man. This trial was rigged from the start…

Exactly! It would make them dictators like trump wants!
@MrNorcal819 ай бұрын
Absolutely. Can you imagine a president committing treason by conspiring with a foreign adversary? Maybe he/she would be impeached by the House, convicted by the Senate and removed from office. But then said traitor could go on his/her merry way and never have to face the bar of justice for the crimes committed. Worse, if the Supreme Court actually did embed into law this presidential immunity, think about a second Trump term if he's elected again. Not only would he not have the pressures of having to run again but there would be no restraints on his vengeful, autocratic impulses. The only thing stopping him would be the political courage of the House and Senate to remove him from office. That kind of bravery, especially in the Senate, is sorely lacking. We can only pray that at least five justices understand that they hold the fate of this nation as a democratic republic in their hands.

Obviously the “justices” don’t realise that by December of this year and January of 2025, the Court will be disbanded and they will be out of jobs. He can’t trust them even if they do his bidding. He’ll put former WH staff sNazi Stefan Miller in charge of the DOJ & Homeland Security, put Flynn in at the Pentagon, declare the insurrection act and mobilise troops on Day 1 just as he promises, lock down the Capitol, sort out his supporters and send the GOP gang-of-Putin home to help trumpf💨💨💩ify their states. They are ready-we’re not. Blue states might hold out for a while...watch in the upcoming months before the next coup, if supply chains will be broken and communications disrupted “out of nowhere”. Russian planes already are flying over Alaska, reconnoitering. Russian hackers have been making little attacks here and there, testing our fences for years. Kim has offered Putin some of his new long-range nukes and would be only too happy to use them on the US. Orban would do whatever Putin wanted him to do, maybe “babysit” his little pal trumpf💨💨💩back in Hungary. The Putin/trumpf💨💨💩/Flynn network is intact still and freely working in advance of the takeover, just as they had prior to the Ukraine invasion. The biggest laugh? American's are entitled to review of the immunity and double-jeopardy claims as soon as possible before the election so the DC trial can proceed on time. In my view, they are frivolous arguments, so it should not take significant time for the USSC to decide if the case is expedited. I promise, this can be done... Well. Lady Liberty needs Her champions. I've taken it, as far as I can... For now. Note, Long ago - early 2000s - FEMA took my research, and used them as templates, to start their NETC/EMI Degree Program. Let's say, I was betrayed. However, he didn't get it all. He took credit, to soon. In those Bush days, the proof is recorded. I still struggle, to get the right folks, to listen, about all the possibilities. First, I recommend finding women - Vets - who have served, in FET. They can help build it, from ground, up. Using, what they know, with the pieces I found. So, to snuggle up tight, against our republic, for managing crucial issues. (Suffrage, Republic, Environment, Education, Infrastructure, Liaison, Logistics...). So, to restore our "mustering" capabilities, for accounting our voice and vote... ... Our preference, on any crucial issue. If we bring true "civil defense" back on line, in a 21 century context, "We" will be able, again, to mechanize and empower pure / direct demos-kratia (democracy), within a republic! It is the missing piece your looking for... A comprehensive contingencies management system, based in neighborhood incident management capabilities, that includes all Sectors: Public, Private, Gov.! FEMA recommends we maintain secondary manual backup systems! We can use that, through a neutral objective liaison logistics "Matrix NGO"... ... For mirroring up against a republic. So, to match Goal, Mission, Objectives... "To protect life and property." ... (Disaster and Emergency Services / gov.)... ..."Support, Systems and Services" Which plugs us in, through all doors, through our "civil-defense " loophole... ...all the way to NORAD... ... As, our.. ... separate-but-equal... ... "4th Branch! There is an awesome way to do this, that all good folks will be proud of, and the "bad guys" will fear! I think I can give my word! For, the neighborhood organizational management. "Female Engagement Teams" Noting... Neighbor s... ... Moms... Kids... Other kids... Other moms... Schools... Classmates... Teachers.... Dads... @@doogiebear139 Ha! Trump is not president. He's ex-president, former president, never again to be president, a soon to be locked up forever insurrectionist. I'm merely pointing out the lack of logic in Trump's opinion that a President should be immune from prosecution for crimes like rape, fraud, stealing classified documents, insurrection, etc. It is lunacy because, under the current democratic and constitutional process, Trump is subject to, as well as protected by, legal process. If it was true [as if] that presidents are immune from prosecution, then Biden [the current actual President] would be free to dispose of Trump any way he chooses, and then simply claim presidential immunity. Every time Trump spews more nonsense, or his incompetent lawyers come up with another ridiculous legal strategy, it merely digs the hole deeper for Trump. I'm just saying that *IF* Trump's wacky opinion was actually true, that presidents are automatically immune and can act like kings, then that would remove any legal protections the court system currently affords to Trump. Under Trump's logic(?), the current President [King Biden] could sidestep the normal legal process and be done with this fool by simple decree, "Off with his head!"

Yes it's absolutely baffling that Americans are debating this in 2023. They should get their heads out of their self-absorbed a$$es and look at what evolved countries decided in that regard many decades ago: the reason for the immunity is to protect the president (or other politician) from being prosecuted for his/her *_political_* actions, insofar as they don't violate the law. The immunity doesn't aim at covering actions that violate the law. How hard can it be to comprehend that?

Well, if they DON'T hear it, then the court of appeals hears it. Either way, if it gets to the SC, and they do hear it, they CANNOT endorse it or uphold absolute immunity.... that would empower Biden to arbitrarily take a lot of actions..... expand the court by executive order, or do a lot of other "criminal" actions that he cannot be held accountable for. To use Glenn's "indelicate" example, Biden could literally shoot Trump before the election and not be held accountable. It also empowers Trump to circumvent the court if he wants if he gets re-elected.
