@@XTheCrystalBeastGuyX I noticed the trend too, but it happens semi-frequently that prices plummet at release, then spike up as people are buying them up, then they level out to make the EV of opening a box closer to the price of the box itself (especially if boxes are being initially being sold at a premium and then start getting cheaper as stock continues to roll out). Also, I am only just starting my new job next week, so I just gotta hope it's the case here xD

This world and the things in it are temporary, spend your time doing something that will matter in the long run - start sharing the gospel of Jesus. The last 3000+ years of human history have been a testimony in favor of God's word. Contemplate how the Roman Empire fulfilled the role of the beast from the sea in Revelation 13. Revelation 17 confirms that it is in fact Rome. From this we can conclude that A) Jesus is the son of God and can tell the future or make it happen B) The world leaders/governments/nations etc have been conspiring together to accomplish this roadmap set in place by the Israelites or C) History as we know it is fake despite the archaeological evidence. You don't really need to speculate though because you can start a relationship with God and have proof. Call on the name of Jesus and pray for Him to intervene in your life - Revelation 3:20. The world is rapidly passing away and eventually you will have to stand before God on judgement day and explain to Him what you have done with your life. Make sure you are making every effort to help others while you can. Cant get a response from God? Make sure you are doing all that you can to follow His commands when you attempt to enter "His Presence" - Isaiah 1:15, James 4:8, Micah 3:4. Stop eating food sacrificed to idols (McDonald's Wendy's etc), stop watching obscene content, stop taking pictures of yourself and uploading them to social media to "glorify" yourself, start fasting from food etc. Have a blessed day and ponder what I have said!

The first pack I opened in draft was Fiery Justice + Ulasht, the Hate Seed. Less than $0.50 of rares, neither of which are very good in (this) limited either.

For this set specifically the EV's actually pretty high - I literally went infinite value-wise for 9 drafts in the first week of the set before prices went down - all it takes is a single good open to reimburse a draft or even two drafts.

There’s also some value in the token slot. Specifically the cat dragon tokens and the egg tokens. Both have been around $5 each.

its not that, this set is by far one of the worst sets magic has seen. its got a ton of reprints that have already been reprinted in the past year. there was no point in making masters set with low quality selection of card just because you wanted to make fancy new cards. a cheap way to make money and a cheap way to cheat out people who love to play. set lacks what magic is.

My and a buddy opened a box each last night. His first pack was a foil borderless imp seal....the rest of his box was about $150 in value. I didn't pull a single card over $50 but had $380ish in value due to consistently hitting $10+ cards and $5+ foils. Sounds decent at first right? Well we are in Canada so subtract ~25% to convert to USD. A $115 box + the seal, and a $290 box.

In my commander pod there is this one dude that we've concluded is basically a witch. Whenever he just feels like buying a random pack to crack, he always pulls whatever chase card has the most value in the set at the time. We still jokes that he is bound to pull Teferi, Hero of Dominaria no matter what set he is opening, because he ended up pulling 4 or 5 of them just from opening random one-off Dominaria packs a few years ago. Of course, yesterday, he treated himself to one pack of DM 2022 and opened an Imperial seal. He is still the only guy that I would count on MAYBE earning his money back at the RIDICULOUS price of this set!

Hey Prof! The booster box game is easily one of my favorite segments of your channel, however you may want to put a disclaimer at the beginning of each video that even though you start a new box if you meet or exceed the box price, you will not get that price back if you trade in those cards for another box. Most LGS give you a fraction of what the card is worth or what the TCG buy list price is. I’m sure most people know this, but not everyone does (same idea selling to TCG or other online card companies, they buy the buy list pricing)

As much as I'm currently loving the video, I'm glad I'm sticking to my hunch on buying singles only. All my friends want me to buy the booster or even collectors box and I'm just like "I'm not spending an ungodly amount of money for RNG just to maybe use 10% of the cards". One important takeaway... it took 9 boxes to get past $30 in value on that first box. That's $125 in packs to get $30 in cards. The others didn't fair much better. This seems like one of the worst return on investments than any set I can remember. And it's not like you're getting much higher values than asking price for a box. I drafted it this past weekend and it's not even a good set for drafting. I think I was too hyped over this set. What a disappointment.

Bought a box of Baldurs Gate for $130 at my LGS and only managed to pull $40 worth of cards.. Never felt so robbed after opening a box, and I have opened MANY over my years playing/collecting. And clearly I'm not the only one. And as much as I love the experience of opening a box, I just don't see how you can possibly make money or even break even on either of these sets. I think this time I'll buy singles seeing as how you need to be exceptionally lucky to come out ahead with these products. Seeing all those 10 cent rares hurts, especially when you compare it to the original Double Masters that came with a box topper and TONS of valuable reprints instead of 3-4 chase cards that are hard to justify spending the $350 for the box, as it is highly unlikely you will come close to that number without pulling these chase cards. Just take that $350 and pick up these much needed reprints as they generally climb back up to absurd price points after a short period of time.

My question is, why does Magic hate D&D so much? They've sabotaged both sets that featured D&D cards by making them so ridiculously underpowered, not even mentioning what they did with Double Masters a week later, that it's like they're trying to get Magic players to subconciously hate the game. Across both sets, I can count on one hand the number of playable cards, and they didn't do any decent reprints to shore up numbers.

These packs are disasterous. Imagine being a new commander or modern player trying to open some legacy staples who spends 50-60 bucks on 3 packs and just gets absolutely nothing. These are the most gambly product I've ever seen from WotC
