Breaking the No Contact Rule: THE Exception!

My ex is in the final stages of divorce after many years of marriage. I believe he loves me but we broke up due to him not wanting to remarry in the future, as he is aware that’s what I would like down the track. I broke no contact after 3 weeks to tell him via text about my recent cancer diagnosis. He replied with the usual “ I’m sorry to hear, but I’m sure you’ll recover. Speedy recovery “ but wasn’t as supportive as I expected. I definitely think that was a set back, especially since it’s still fresh.

Hi coach, I was with my ex for 8 months and 3 months ago we stopped contact and pretty much broke up - a break up that we both knew about months before it happened and we were both aligned on. We loved each other very intensely. Even before the seperation took place, I tried on three seperate occassions to to talk to her in person where everytime she gave me different reasons why she could not. We work together so its kinda akward. After 2.5 months of no contact, I knocked on the door last week and asked her how she was doing and if she had a few minutes to "catch up". I wanted to keep it very casual without implying to her that we should address serious topics of the past in the office. She told me that she has a meeting in a bit and will get back to me once she is free again later that day. She never got back to me that day, yet after work, the whole team (including other people) gathered in the meeting room for after-work games and drinks. So, in theory, if she had 2 hours to socialise with the people after business hours, surely during the day she would have had time to catch up with me or at least communicate that at present she is not ready to catch up but once she feels ready we could talk / someting along those lines. The fact she did not reach out hurt me and made me feel ignored and disrespected. A few days later there was a company after-works event in the courtyard. I noticed that when I was there, she glanced at me a few times. So, its weird, she wont talk to me but she will look at me. Should I assume she has lost feelings for me and is no longer in love? Was I wrong in trying to reconnect by "catching up" at the office? I felt that would be more digestible than calling or sending her a random text, and then judging by that, I would then ask her if she would have time some other day to discuss more private matters.

I could feel it man, I was in the sam situation… unfortunatelly, it’s over. It hurts a lot, but it is time for you to move on. She will come back once you start ignoring her.

I broke no contact texted him consulting work related things and I knew he was good at. He replied my text and the second one never answered and I too left it at that....didn't push it further.... hope it was okay at this point?

I got a question about this. Its been about a week. This Sunday is Father's day and it might be tough for her. I feel like i should but I dont want to push her away more or mess up my healing process. Any advice?

Im doing no contact its been 2 weeks but last week I couldn’t hold my self back and i called her she didn’t want to see me but spoke to me on the phone she is very upset with me because i cheated on her i am so upset and my life as turned upside down im so stressed and upset with myself that i hurt the person i love im willing to do anything for us what do you think my next step should be im going to give it 2 more weeks and try meet her face to face if she agrees please coach adrian help me
