The story of Adobe CC, and a broken man.
I've been working on this for a couple months, and as luck would have it, people are p*ssed about the new Adobe Creative Cloud 2020 update. Can't believe it's been a year since the last Nox.
Tarboy is trending at the moment. Do you ever just type out long strings of text and fill it full of keywords? I do. Nox. Blahlbahblah. I sure hope this video ends up alongside related videos. Alongside some 2D Animation. Maybe next to other videos about Adobe Creative Cloud. That would be very topical.
This was made in Adobe Animate, Photoshop, Premier, After Effects

@Scarshadow666

Ikr! What I've found annoying in my time in college with Adobe was that there wasn't really much flexibility for people to try other programs that either weren't industry standards or were in the beginning process of becoming industry standards (like CSP). I am someone who prefers to use Procreate for a lot of my art projects, but my college discouraged students from using Procreate for class projects (part of it was because of things like the text features in Procreate being not as detailed as Photoshop/Illustrator's text features were). -_-
@Cowboycomando54
@Cowboycomando54 5 ай бұрын
For me the cardinal sin of Adobe products was when they switched to a subscription service. Software is a product not a service, so stop trying to make me pay monthly. I don't want a new updated version every other month to a year, I just want one stable version that I can use indefinitely after paying for it once and only once. Hence why I switched to GIMP and Harmony (A.K.A Toon Boom).

When Blender got the 2D animation tool- I was curious how it would go for adobe with Flash. Flash is a good animation software and Blender's tools are definitely less versatile but Adobe is known for being shit and Blender is literally becoming a first-party level creation studio for everything. I wouldn't be surprised if Blender has music/audio creation tools by 3.0 lmao

@Kevin-jb2pv
@Kevin-jb2pv 4 жыл бұрын
@@Topaz542 He's definitely using live action footage and then smearing the frames around to make himself look more cartoonish/ comic book-like. The clearest example of what he's doing can be seen right before he punches the wall, if you go frame by frame you can see how he smeared his arm around pretty grotesquely in order to add an exaggerated, animated quality to his movement. He's also messing around with the frame rate a lot, slowing it down and making it choppy in certain places in order to make it look like it's been drawn on 2s. There are some other parts, too, where he only has the bottom of his face move, leaving his glasses, body, headphones, etc... completely still, which also gives is a bit of that "hanna-barbara" feel (at least to me). It's amazing that he was able to catch Adobe on hidden camera, though. I thought FOR SURE that he would have had to animate her in, but we were able to see her in natural form. Good job!
@madmanmortonyt4890

Because everything James films is behind a green screen, he can easily warp his body. No doubt it requires multiple takes before he can correctly exaggerate his movements in a subtle way.
@Kevin-jb2pv
@Kevin-jb2pv 4 жыл бұрын
@@madmanmortonyt4890 All filming requires multiple takes (general rule is that for every minute of finished project you will record 10 minutes of footage). Though I think that the style he's using probably means he DOESN'T have to be quite as precise with the shooting, because he edits everything so heavily that he's already basically photoshopping each frame.

@Cawl He most likely records himself in harsh lighting, acting out the scenes in slow motion (as in, he himself moves slower) in front of a green/blue screen, then takes the footage and edits it per frame (or, probably easier, per group of frames) to escalate and emphasize his movements. He then adds the glowy effects to his teeth and glasses (probably through utilizing some kind of white balance effect), adds some saturation filters, and then hand-renders the rest through a combination of photoshop, after effects, and premiere pro (or other programs, considering the content of this video).

@@izuix5629 Yep. Though, regarding the Divide blend mode, it is actually going to be added in 1.9. We however have to wait till the Beta is released for that. forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/111637-can-we-get-a-divide-layer-option/&do=findComment&comment=612157

I just found this channel today and I honestly love how he mixes real life footage with animation.

I cannot handle how expressive your movements are. Your acting skills are every bit as godlike as your animating skills, and the lighting and sound design is amazing. I especially love the filter on your voice, there’s something simultaneously soothing and coarse about it. And now I’m imagining some kind of detective noir “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” style thing.

The moment from 1:15-1:30 hits home. I used to have an ex that had wild fights with me all the time, and that was something I yelled. Thankfully I got out of the relationship but damn looking back on it, it was wild...
