Thank you for exposing the ridiculousness of the medical algorithms! I had a similar encounter at 31yo I went to my doctor, explained extreme fatigue, weight gain, heavy periods, unusual (for me) period pain, back pain. Bloods taken, showed low iron and B12, treated and sent to dietician for weight loss. This was no help, so I went back a few more times, told I was overweight and a mother so tiredness was just normal as was everything else. Uterine scan done, showed thick lining, no treatment done. Over 2 years of this and I then changed doctors. Symptoms added were pressure in lower abdomen, more weight gain but was eating less without trying. New doctor was furious with old doctor, sent me for urgent scans and bloods, CA125 elevated, scans showed large ovarian tumor. Surgery and diagnosis of Ovarian Cancer followed shortly after. I was 33 when diagnosed. Struggled with that for a few years and the huge changes due to radical hysterectomy. Weight ballooned, felt terrible. Finally found the ketogenic lifestyle and haven’t looked back! 70lbs down and still going 😊

I started having breast pain a few months ago. Went to the doctor. He held my hand, told me not to worry about it, but come back next year for another mammogram. I figured out on my own they were cysts, and then looked around online. Eventually saw something about some old time wisdom from doctors in the past. They would say when you have no idea, and cannot figure it out, use iodine. They said to paint the breasts with iodine, to relieve cysts. So a few days ago I did. Got a cotton ball and some tincture of iodine, and painted away. I was prepared to apply it every day for a while, but I haven't had any pain and forgot about it.

She told me to calm down because cancer doesn’t hurt and her advice was to stop eating salt. She told me I had very fibrous breast and it was just me eating too much processed foods. 2 years later a doctor finally addresses the pain my mother has been having on her lower back, kidney cancer. She had her entire kidney removed and has been fine 21 years later. So cancer can hurt…. I have been taking iodine and my once hard breast are completely soft with no pain. Comment on wrong bra type: Yes! My sister wants to be smaller and I know some who wear ridiculously padded strange bras. You are so correct regarding the wrong bra type. I know several women wear the same bra that at one time may have worked for them but they are worn, have safety pins or are just ancient and the reason they all gave is that the bra fits, is comfy etc. I saw my own Mom do this and if a bra was discontinued she would be reluctant to try a new style. If I find a good fitting bra I buy plenty, and because many of my loved ones have worn such ugly old (probably unfunctional) bras I want mine to be pretty. I am a breast cancer survivor and had 2 lumpectomy(s) and I agree that a good bra that fits correctly is important. After my surgeries I find push-up bra styles to actually cause pain; but thank goodness there are pretty bras in comfortable styles !

As a Mammographer this is my "opinion"...the first word that comes to mind is CONDESENDING. It is no longer called or treated as fibrocystic disease, it's a type of breast tissue. Actually an-ill fitted bra can be an issue. The biggest issue for women w/breast pain is hormones. So many women ingest way too much soy & caffeine which make fibrocystic tissue more sensitive. Women that are on HRT can almost be guaranteed to have breast pain/sensitivity. I would hope a provider's last option would be Tamoxifen since many women being treated for breast cancer don't tolerate it well (hot flashes). Great video...I've never heard that iodine could help!

That kind of protocol seems very behind the times, that’s putting it lightly. I’m very pro doing your own research because many times there are simple natural remedies that can used that modern medicine just haven’t come around to because it’s so focused on pharmaceutical treatments. Thanks so much for all you do, we sure do appreciate it!! It really helps to hear some common concern and easy practical solutions!🤗🙏💕

My female nurse practicioner told me those three things this time last year. Turns out I was wearing the wrong size bra, though. I was wearing a B and needed a DDD. Who knew? That being said, I don't think I am done with this situation yet. Back to the doctor recently. We'll see how this thing plays out. Praying hard!

I have fibrocystic breast disease and hypothyroidism. My experience over the past 3-4 years has been that I get breast pain for a couple of days before my period, but only for 2-3 months in winter. So my conclusion is it has to do with suboptimal thyroid levels.

Dr. Berry, I have autoimmune problems and fluctuate between Hashimoto's and Graves Disease. I stopped eating gluten and my health improved. Should I be taking an iodine supplement?
@Mggrande9985 жыл бұрын
I have hashimoto's as well. I'd highly recommend reading the book "stop the thyroid madness" first before self supplementing with iodine. Iodine needs to be carefully calibrated with other supplements like selenium or it will make problems worse.
@brooksreed96095 жыл бұрын
I would start with selenium, vitd, zinc, magnesium, b12, then slowly increase iodine, lugols is too strong for someone with Hashimotos, could cause an adverse reaction. For iodine take a sea kelp supplement

My breast surgeon told me to take a natural primrose supplement. He said it does work for many clients. As a nurse, my doctors know not to bring a prescription pad into my exam room. If necessary, we walk to their office and discuss pharmacological remedies. I was appreciative of his alternative knowledge and very much appreciate yours as well. Thank you.

I take 6 drops of lugols 2% daily. Have taken for the past year after doing my own research. I have fibrocystic breasts and the pain became unbearable after a hysterectomy. I also have no thyroid due to RAI. This years mammogram was the first one where I did not have to have an Ultrasound scan along with it because of too thick breast tissue. The pain I experience now only lasts a few days, very minimal, at that time of the month. I still hormone cycle due to having kept ovaries! Thank you for making this video. Everyone I spoke with thought I was nuts!

Whenever I have hormonal breast pain, like during PMS, if it becomes too much I take DIM which is a supplement isolated from broccoli that breaks down excess estrogen. It works like a charm! And also helps with other high estrogen symptoms like excessive crying and craziness. 😂 I supplement iodine occasionally (a drop in a glass of water once in a while), but I'm weary of overdoing it, but I could probably do a little more as you're saying.

Brigitte Logue - So sorry he is in pain, and getting nowhere on a subject he may have been reluctant to bring up. As Dr. Berry stated, all mammals, male or female have breast tissue and need iodine. If it were my husband I would get the supplement Dr. Berry recommends and see if it helps. Sometimes the solution seems too easy. My husband was being treated for restless leg syndrome, we went to a holistic healthcare practitioner for a different issue, and it turned out (in this case) he was extremely deficient in magnesium. He enjoys peaceful sleep now.
