Growing up not far from Chicago, IL, our family was blessed to be able to listen to the radio broadcasts from Moody Bible Institute each day. This song and so many other great hymns of the church blessed our home. ‘Breathe On Me, Breath of God’ is the prayer of my heart. Thank you, Luke.

Our grandson who is now 20 asked Jesus into his heart at a very young age . Thinking it was age 3 or 4.....and he looked at his daddy and said, "all this air came into me"... Sounds like "breath of life" to me.😊

It seems there are several hymn tunes to a set of lyrics. I love this hymn- all the tunes for these lyrics. My parents are 88 and 89 and they retired from church music a few years ago. Now they play hymns every day- mom piano and dad flute and dad piano and mom violin. I play piano and flute with them and my brothers when they come to visit and we all sing- a life of thanks and praise. Thank you for your videos and spreading God’s love and joy. Glory to God!

What a steep but worthwhile spiritual ambition, "until my will is one with God's will!" When of me in my forgiven, cleansed and filled self, God can say "you are my son with whom I am well pleased, let the world be inspired by you"

Oh, Luke, thank you so much for choosing this wonderful hymn on which to elaborate! I haven't heard it sung in a congregration for decades, although I've often sung it myself during my devotional time. Even as a youth I recognized the rich beauty in the melody and lyrics. May the Lord bless you for providing to us this unique aspect of your ministry. Bob

Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Praise God! Praise Jesus! Thank you, Holy Spirit, for this divinely appointed ministry. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for leading me to the channel to worship with my brother in Christ. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for teaching us your percepts and granting us the gift to accept and obey. We give you all the glory, honor, and praise. In Jesus' matchless name, Amen.

This hymn has been a part of my faith since my childhood. That is forty years of singing this hymn and it is one of the hymns that inspired my call to ministry. It is one that I often encourage congregations to sing as they approach times of devotion and reflection with Scripture, that we may be guided in God's truth.

Thank you, Luke. This has been so meaningful to me for yeas. It always brings me into God's presence, and I sense His Spirit's sweet warmth and filling. As often as I remember, it has become my morning prayer. I ask Him to "breathe on me" that I might live this (and every) day filled with His Spirit and that wherever I go and whomever I meet will encounter HIM in some way! Thank you, so much for sharing this song. I am now a subscriber!!!

Pastor Luke: It is now Friday, 17/24. Missing sadly today's posting of Breathe On Me Breath Of God: Pastor, your love for God and your "I'm sold out for Jesus" exemplifies this hymn today, Friday/24. You Pastor are transformed to Christ's likeness. Yours is truly a pastor's ❤! 🙏

Hello. I awoke very early and, as often, the Lord brought a hymn to mind. When I arose later, I listened to Breath of Heaven, which is beautiful. But it was not the hymn I wanted to hear. I enjoy your channel and knew that I might find it there. I was having difficulty breathing in bed and had been asking the Lord to fill me with His Breath. I very much appreciate your historical account and words . Of course the music and singing were a blessing . Thank you.

Lovely hymn. There is another tune (Carlisle by Charles Lockhart) which is my favourite. The tune used here (Trentham by Robert Jackson) is lovely as well, especially if you play it in strict 3/4 time like a waltz.

I have found and listened to a few of your messages. I find them truly wonderful and a real ministry. However, I don’t understand the background music. I find it really distracting when I’m trying to engage with what’s being said - especially the Bach like keyboard music. I hope you won’t find this so much a criticism as a plea. I love your videos - and want to focus entirely on what you’re saying. The hymns at the end are beautiful and where we can join you in song. Thank you for this ministry.
