TAKE A DEEP BREATH

TAKE A DEEP BREATH

Күн бұрын

10 minutes is all you need, A Simple and Calm Breathing Exercise, no music, just gentle guided breath sounds, and a breath bubble to help you calm down, you can focus on the bubble and match your speed to help you relax. When we breathe slower and extend our exhales this can help us relax into rest and digest and can help us when we have a panic attack.

Sometimes when people have a panic attack they tend to focus on inhaling and trying to get in even more air when their lungs are full, with an exercise like this we focus on extending the exhale to help us calm down and breathe normally.

If you have anxiety thinking you can't breathe fully in, you feel like your chest is tight and possibly you're yawning a lot- Learn the difference between chest breathing and diaphragmatic breathing, you want to be doing diaphragmatic breathing. I was struggling with this for days at a time before I figured it out, focusing on my breath made me feel more anxious because I felt like I couldn't take a full breath, thought something was wrong with my lungs but it was all a mental thing, it's a form of hyperventilation. Learn to use your stomach muscles to control your breath, it's effortless and how you breath when you're not paying attention to it, learn to do it consciously. I hope this helps someone 💚

Another brilliant video from a superb channel. Something for everyone. Such a simple act, breathing, so automatic and so often done wrong. Only when I 'watched my breathing' that I became aware I was taking big gasps every so often. No music, no adverts, just following the breaths.... genius . Thank you for this.

I think there are similar deep breathing exercizes that stimulate the vegas nerve. Stimulating vegas nerve through breathing has tremendous benefits. . I guess this exercize may also work...

Also, if you put an ice pack right on the center of your chest, it resets the vegas nerve. It'll take a quick minute, but the heart rate and anxiety start to go away.

Hey Mike, I think breathing is incredible, the Buddha would go on 3-4 month retreats (after enlightenment) and when his attendant Ananda asked “what should I tell people you are doing?” He said to tel them he was watching his breath. However, I think you should also look into other components of Buddhism dharma because it is so subtle and profound!

I'm finding this very fast paced and hard to keep up with, its building up stress and I don't know what to do, am I doing it wrong? It feels like I should hold after the intake for longer

Works when I am in a panic attack to get me out of it everytime. Im schizophrenic and have ptsd. I love that other than the breathing prompt it has no music or video stuff. Please make one that's 30 minutes to a hour of this with no music. Amazing work thank you so much. Ive added this to my panic attack playlist with a few others i use. I dont have them often
