Wow, when you think you have everything figured out, another layer of understanding shows up. Rupert, your teachings are so very much appreciated. Thank you

Grateful. Thankful. Mind blown, didn’t see it coming!😆 Who would you be without your story? In case anyone might be interested, Byron Katie’s work is based in part around this whole concept.

Thank you ! Rupert. It was so clear for me to understand the point, which is to separate sensation and story, and focus on the sensation, dropping the story!

I wonder if itching skin might be a 'pocket of resistance'. Certainly, happens increasingly during meditation.

I’ve only just discovered Rupert. What he says seems to ring true. The idea of infinite consciousness giving rise to limited entities like ourselves that have forgotten their own source. I have looked at his site and he seems to charge a lot of money for his retreats. Seems he is making an incredible amount of money for teaching people who are seeking guidance. A realised, self aware Guru would not make a business of his knowledge? I’m transfixed by what he says, I so need things to change in my life, is Rupert the person to help me?

I’m by no means any sort of authority on spiritual teachers and whether they should charge money, but I would say if you are drawn to what he says, follow that intuition. He has so many videos and guided meditations on KZbin, that you probably don’t even need to attend a retreat. Personally, I would love to go to one, but I can’t afford to at this point in my life, nor do I think it’s necessary for me. If he wants to charge money because this is his livelihood, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. Especially since he offers so much guidance for free.

@@ambermarie24 he never intended to hold retreats for a price. After he wrote a book he planned on continuing with his pottery but people were so intrigued by his book that he kept getting invited to speak about it. It’s his passion and he loves talking about it. People want to hear him and he knows that and I think he believes that it’s his calling to discuss the direct path.

Hi Hamish, See this as a whole new method of looking at situations (that brings freedom.) 'This' above = Being free from story. Eg. What is the difference between the following... Body getting a bruise when on a cruise Body getting a bruise when running in a new pair of shoes From the body's perspective... a bruise is a bruise... it gets on with healing process the same split second. Few days later it heals... is free from bruise. Now, enter the mind... ...and there is a story of this bruise. Went on this fun cruise to... Was running in my new pair of shoes... Free from story = Free from mental unhappiness forever : ) All the best!
