I just lost my little rat terrier Kileigh 4 days ago and I have loved many pets over the years but she was so special. The vet is still baffled at what was wrong with her. she developed a cough but seemed healthy other than that he ran tests and could find nothing wrong. she ate and drank very well and was active. 2 weeks ago the cough stopped all together and she started breathing fast. the vet took x rays and she was showing signs like she had pneumonia still ate very good and was very active with a normal temperature. He put her on predizone (sp?) seemed to help until the last 3 days then she started breathing hard again (still eating and drinking very good but could not walk short distances without panting hard). he put her on antibiotics and did a bronchial wash - 5 hours after the bronchial wash she passed away. The vet said he has never seen anything like it and asked permission to remove part of her lung to send off to be tested. my whole family is heart broken she was by far the best pet ever had.

@@stonemasterkevin thank you. It is still hard I miss my girl every day. It ended up when the lab sent the results back from the lung sample it was some sort of cancer. Thinking of all who are currently suffering through this. Thank you for keeping us aware. Living in a Florida National Forest, I've seen first hand how miserable it can be to breathe and function when the trees are burning. We now have air purifiers in all bedrooms in the house and the main living space. Even the controlled burns can leave you feeling lethargic and out of sorts. Can't imagine the harsh effects of out of control wildfires.

Laryngeal Paralysis is what one Vet says, and another Vet says (fluid in the lungs and around heart). This all started with throwing up white Foam.....Yes, hard time breathing, and scared to go outside. Gagging, loosing control of himself. 13 years old. Will this help, get the Fluid out of his lungs? Otherwise, in the house rests a lot, still eats and drinks great, and acts like a 5 year old! My Lab is on meds. But I don't think they are working.

Dear Dr. Jones My cat has been diagnosed with nasal cancer. I've been giving him mushroom powder.Complex 6. Chaga, Cordyceps, shiitake, Reshi, Lions Mane, and Maitake. As well as turkey tail. Half a capsule of organic Turmeric. C.B.D oil 5% daily. And putting D.M.S.O topically around his nose. Sardines and senior cat food daily. His face symmetry has changed but he's not sneezing anymore or snoring. He's quite content although a little slow with age. He's 19 and still has a good zest for life. Is there any suggestions on anything else I could do for him. It would be much appreciated.

Thank you for another great video. Pippy is hilarious how she will eat anything. I have a 55kg Bull/Neomastiff that is 8 years old that is so fussy she's driving me nuts. She's having breathing difficulties that is slowing down her walks. She's not that bad indoors at home but the moment she leaves the house she can barely breathe. Her drool has become really bad and a snowwhite colour. She gets sick on Vets prescription drugs so I'm trying alternatives. The antihistamines are not working. So I tried green tea, Spinach, berries, sweet potato, apples. Nothing is working. So I decided to try healing her microbiome with pre/probiotics but she's decided to sniff them out & actually starve herself. I know with us humans we can reset our microbiome by fasting, should I let her fast for a couple of days? I'm feeling pretty sick about her health issues. Any advice would make our lives better. Thank You

Thank you Dr Jones, I appreciate you helping all of us. I would like to ask all of you good animal people to help me with any tips or experience you’ve had with a cat with stomatitis. My cat has it and I’ve been to 3 vets. I realize it’s an auto immune disease. They give him a depo shot and antibiotics, but there is only a window of a week to where he can eat and is half way comfortable. I believe he can only have those shots every 3or4 weeks, the rest of the time he’s miserable and tries to eat but is in so much pain. He’s went from 16 pounds down to 9 pounds. He’s had his teeth cleaned and they seem to be in good shape. Please, any tips you can give me would be so appreciated.
@setsirocco4 жыл бұрын
I think I would give CBD oil a try. It may help with inflammation and pain. If the cat has anxiety about eating, may help with that, too. As in the video, add curcumin to food if he will eat it to help with inflammation and bacterial growth. You might have to add liquid to canned food so he can lap it and not have to chew at all. Probiotics may help with immune function.
@setsirocco4 жыл бұрын
Dr Jones sells it. The details are on his website and in his videos. drjonesnaturalpet.com/dr-jones-ultimate-cbd-nuleaf-cbd-oil-for-pets-300mg.html
@VeterinarySecrets4 жыл бұрын
Hi- yes this is very difficult to treat. CBD is definitely worth a try. In veterinary practice we often ended up removing all the teeth - very extreme but many cats responded well to it. Other potential options.. Propolis or Bee Glue as 'natural immuno suppressive' Propolis is a complementary and alternative agent that promises to achieve a more effective immune system when the immune response is not sufficient to control a specific infection or pathological condition and a pathologically decreased/compromised condition. Further exploratory studies are needed to support large clinical trials toward further development of propolis. Good probiotic supplement Antibiotic to consider.. Many young Bartonella-positive felines, less than a year old, with a specific subtype of feline oral inflammatory disease, most often will respond to Azithro-mycin therapy as described by William D. Hardy Jr., VMD, at the National Veterinary Labs. He states, “Veterinarians should consider Bartonella in their differential diagnosis as the etiologic agent for a subset of cats with oral inflammatory disease.” Dr. Hardy has investigated Bartonella in cats and the multiple pathologies that they can cause. He is to be applauded for the information he has brought to feline medicine through the feline Bartonella test he has innovated. If a patient less than 1 year old is Bartonella positive and does not respond to Azithromycin therapy, it is most likely juvenile FS and should be referred to an oral specialist/ dentist/surgeon for diagnosis and treatment.

One big issue: those essential oils are well oil and you just added it to water!!! You need an emulsifier. Try glycerin or propylene glycol. Both should emulsify and allow the solution to have even amounts of the therapeutic compound. Otherwise you’ll get inconsistent dosage with potential issues. Don’t worry about glycerin or propylene glycol. There both used in nebulizers so it’s safe to vaporize and inhale.
