Beautifull what kooij, milan, molano and all the others are doing. But take a look at madis mikhels 🇪🇪 (6). He is only 20 and sprinting top 10 in a grand tour for the 3th time this giro. His performance is outstanding. + also being the youngest top 10 rider in paris roubaix in the last 60 years.. this kid is going places.

POG revenge from what Narvaez did in stage 1. Pogs goal was to start in Pink. Stage 9 was already Narvaez, Trek and Jaycoo had already accepted their fate till Pog started chasing hard for his teammate. He gave the other teams hope and winning the stage was reborn. He was the fuel they needed. He also wanted his teammate to win but without a real a lead out team it was just a chance.

Whate a finish...one thing hes not is field sprinter but his punch especially in reduced bunch is as good as it gets in monument or in long stage with attrition involved in grand tour... I completely see your point : ) ...he pulled that back he was the difference between narvaez staying away and not. literally Milan in sprinters jersey and Koij were only ones to come round while he was at speed and his teammate he was leading out. Im convinced one of his dreams is to win tour de france and Champs de lysee field sprint on stage 21 usually a procession but if you had hard mountain stage day before its not beyond him. Its on cobbles which he loves.. he beat mads in san remo came round him after mads had a leadout he's so good. Bets rider ive ever seen by a distance I started with hinault who was best. I didnt see merckk, gimondi, coppi, anquetil, de vlaemick but he and Mathieu to me are living legends to me , in that company MVDP is this generations De Vlaemick from cross to monuments one day domination. Enjoy rest of giro wonder how close pogacar might get GC maglia rosa, mountains, points jerseys . Hes animated and impacted every stage just incredible

@@aizcrest i actually dont think he is the main leadout man. i believe it was oliveira that was supposed to be the final man but if u watch back u can see when pogacar starts the leadout, oliveira pulls out when he realised that molano was not on his wheel after he got slightly boxed in.

Being an Englishman I would expect the Dutch to be all in for Kooij. My prediction was he would win 2 stages and now that Merlier is hurting from the crash I won't be surprised if Kooij takes the points classification. He's one to keep an eye on in upcoming seasons. VISMA is strong enough of a team that they can split their goals and go for GC and points classification as well either with Kooij or WVA 🤘🏻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

I had 2 picks for the sprinters at this Giro. Merlier was my number one pick and I said Kooij will win 2 stages. Now that Merlier has crashed and is hurting I absolutely expect another stage win from Kooij. I saw him beat Merlier earlier this year and that was made me keep an eye on him. He's going to be a force to be reckoned with in upcoming seasons. VISMA has never been much for sprints but they will be now. They have such a strong team that they can split up their goals between GC and points classification with this lad Kooij. Brilliant bunch sprint!!! 🤘🏻🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

He is in the lead of the sprinter points competition. There are intermediate sprints in the middle of each stage to collect points, and being in a high placement at the finish also earns points. The jersey is purple in the giro
