Brecon Beacons Wildman Woods Camp

Camping at the Wildman Woods campsite at the Brecon Beacons in the Black Mountains, Wales. Hiked to a beautiful lake where the views were stunning and done a bit of fishing. Campsite was really nice, really friendly and great atmosphere (defo recommend it) Pitched my tent next to the flowing stream off the mountains.

Yea Concerts are ridiculously priced today. The tickets back then were anywhere from 5 to 15 bucks. You all have a great day. Wales is my ancestral home and it is very nice to see...I have never been there but my father was Welsh and now I have a better look :) Your accent is charming and your voice is lovely, so no worries, continue to recommend quality gear (expensive or not as you discover...quality) so that new treckers do not buy or rely on poor equipment for their woods comfort and survival. There is a lot to like in this video: great family outing, fine video photography, Buster gets a bigger role, shout out for Ordinance maps and paying attention to the trail/route. In the USA, we would be discouraged from washing up dishes in a stream due to pollution concerns. Major trails get a lot of use each hiking season. Best wishes on the new job!

Hi G.O..Nice job of the spatula easy to make arnt they...next step is to carve them like the welsh love spoons.... I remember 35-40 years ago in southern Scotland , laping water from a wee stream during the heat of the day....that evening I was as sick as a pig , really poorly ...the following day i was fine and a wander a hundreds yards upstrem there was a dead sheep in the water and I had given myself a violent tummy upset.. dont forget to boil your water no matter how clean it looks.

Me and my kids slept on an island in a stream three times the size of this one but you can't hear anything but fast running water! Not good when you are in bear, cougar, wolves, and other predator 's, but I love your country side! Very cool video! :)

Lol I saw Bon Jovi in concert 10 times throughout High School and some during my Tour of duty in the United States Marine Corps while stationed in California! Amazing band. Just another really lovely video Becky. I spent a lot of time in the Brecons when I was in the military. Long time ago now though. The Story Arms is a place I saw a lot of. It was a starting point for the “Fan Dance”. If you don’t know what that is just google it (Pen Y Fan & the Fan Dance). It’s so beautiful there. Thank you for sharing your time there. It’s so relaxing watching your videos. Also good luck in your new job. It seems like the perfect job for you and I know your new employer are going to be very glad they gave you a job. The Brecons are a beautiful place to hike, but they can be deceptively deadly too. I have had a team member drop from heat stroke within half an hour of starting to climb a hill, and we had to carry him back down to the road for rescue. Later we resumed the hike and got into freezing fog! We emergency sheltered and, when the fog cleared, we found we were at the top of a vertical drop! So never hike alone, and always have an escape plan!

@@GirlOutdoors Yes indeed you really must, I spent hundreds of pounds taking my nephews to the National Show Caves, and it turned out to be an Expensive disappointment for the boys, then on the way home we decided "on the off chance" to try the Big Pit, £2 for parking, Free entrance, and the boys are still talking about it now 5 Years later. You can go down in the mine itself and see the whole thing. The people there where Great, and the experience was Brilliant. When/If we get out of the current situation, I would recommend The Big Pit without hesitation !! I hope you will find it the same as we did :o)
