Overnight wild camping in the woods under a tarp shelter.
I made my pegs for the shelter and made a tripod for my duck. Started my fire using flint and steel.

Hello Becky :) Another very nice video. You are showing the newbies how it is done! I grew up in Virginia and when the "red buds" began blooming we knew that the Shad and Herring were being pushed up the Potomac and James rivers by the really big fish...20 to 25 pound males and 50 to 60 pounds female striped bass. The trick was to learn how to catch the bait (shad/herring) with a cast net and the other trick was to find them :) They would usually congregate near fresh water inlets and along the shallows of the creeks/streams feeding the rivers. Shallow water meant sunlight and nutrients to feed them. It is interesting to get used to using "bait fish" that are 6 to 9 inches long on a 5 aught hook but when you catch fish that will feed a whole village you just fall in love :) Keep your fishing reel drag setting at around 2 to 3 pounds and have plenty of line, 200 yards...and hang on, just let them run and they will get tired and turn to wards you...then reel them in slowly keeping the line tight all the way :) Been there, done that aplenty :)

It looks like you all are prepared for a night out in the woods and then get ready for your trip to Wales. I love that you know how to use the flint and stone to start a fire and that is good and I know that you know how to use a fire steel and striker to start a fire which is great also. I hope that you all have a great trip to Wales and a safe one there and back home.

Greetings from Western Australia! A very nice video young lady. You show some excellent 'bushcrafty' type skills including axe and knife work. The duck pancakes looked super-tasty and it's the first time I've seen anyone cooking a whole duck at camp. Not sure why anybody would want to give this little video a thumbs down.....! The obligatory trolls and haters presumably. From my perspective, a very pleasant way to spend 30 mins while enjoying my morning coffee. You didn't mention how you got on with the foldable sleeping mat, but clearly not as small & compact as the well known inflatable pads and presumably no where near as comfy as your usual thermarest. Some nice 'cinamatoghraphy' and editing to round off the video. Keep up the good work...!
