I have HUGE respect for MR.Ty Park!! The mans knowledge and dedication towards all Reptiles and Iguganas in particular is truly inspiring, combined with the fact that he is a very kind and caring man who respects life, the environment and his fellow man to an extent that we all should try to strive towards. Hes got a heart as big as an elephant, and despite his great knowledge he doesnt speak down toward people with less knowledge, he always comes from a space of great humility while at the same time confidence in what he does. He never comes at someone from an ego space and loves to impart his knowledge to others. Long live Ty Park!

The iguanas are so different from the other lizards. The expression, the gesturing -- they seem very intelligent. They're not just eating and reacting to things. The funniest, most personable lizards Kenan has are Guapo and Lola. They're always fun to watch!

They are absolutely incredible animals that truly deserve understanding and help in recovery. I love their head bobs! Nice seein you both teaching those of us learning and growing in this lovely herp world. Side note: I am so deeply sorry for loss of your friend Fred. I got chills Kenan! The excitement of being able to bring this species back from the brink of extinction and put it back on an island it hasn't been on for thousands of years... Way to go Ft. Anegada Iguana's are amazing! I didn't see any when I was at Fort Worth Zoo, but Houston Zoo has a breeding pair, probably on loan from FWZ, lets hope that both the zoos and Ty have some breeding success for this species!

Love the face on the pinguis, something about them just exudes "character" (for lack of a better word). Probably the relative smoothness of the skin coupled with the rather human-looking eyes. Fun fact: the pinguis is considered to be the most basal of all cyclura, meaning that it branched of the evolutionary tree first and all the other species are more closely related to each other than they are to the pinguis.

I am glad you explained the money story. It is easy to look at an enclosure like this and go like, that looks bad, I wonder if the animals are treated well or if they are treaten as badly as the enclosure. But I never considered taking the expenses of making the enclosure pretty and using them for more important stuff like space, husbandry, diet and conservation efforts. An inspiring story and way of thinking.
