Allira it's understandable. Bill is trying his best to move on from last weeks cringe worthy episode, as well as the whole outrage thing all together. It's like damage control to get people talking about something new, so in that haste facts may be overlooked. Having on a Breitbart editor would be something that I can see people criticizing bill for had he not made a black joke first a couple weeks before. However, the outrage would be light in comparison to the fake outrage that is mulling over the shows head currently. it's no excuse but it does provide a reason, even if it's not a strong one. just a thought

8:31-9:40 great great point. I’m a big free speech absolutist and I really do think large tech corporations could be a problem for free speech moving forward.

I fucking hate Breitbart and their agenda, but I have to hand it to this guy, he presents himself better than most of the republicans put on this show. He doesn't completely dismiss the 17 intelligence agencies, he doesn't try to bullshit out "FAKE NEWS", he was respectful to Bill during the interview, and doesn't just avoid the questions with the thought that it might hurt the feelings of "our dearest leader"(its a harsh reality when the president is as delicate as a fucking flower). It's not hard to do, but compared to the Boris interview, this one actually stated the opinion of both interviewers and not just party interests. To come onto a show where he knows he's not well liked and stated what he believes and not the beliefs of an administration that's at war with information and logic, I gotta give him credit.

We need THIS more than ever. Two opposites have a discussion of politics in a civil manner. It’s more effective. I’m a liberal and I want more crossover because the whole “let’s only hangout in our own camps” isn’t Fucking working. We have to find a way to disagree together and hopefully be able to find some overlap in the process. That’s REAL progress.

This guy is a major upgrade for Breitbart from the human sweat stain that is Steve Bannon. I'm left-leaning, but you have to give credit where it is due, and Alex was surprisingly reasonable and rational. You need a balance on both sides and he is a good example of what I wish more right-wing media were like.

To be fair, I recently watched the Bill Maher interview with Steve Bannon, and I was surprised by how sensibly intelligent he actually sounded, as, prior to that interview, my entire perception of him was based on a constant barrage of negative media reporting, as well as SNL spoofing. I still don’t agree with him on a great many subjects, but, as I said, he came off as far more “with it” than I’d have ever thunk.

This is what you call partisan journalism that still remains ethical. They lean right without tipping over. Its a shame when that is amongst the best examples we have. Bill could learn a lesson from him.

This guy is very good. I didn't expect him to be because even though I am a conservative I don't think Breitbart covers Trump honestly at all. Maybe though, if they could get rid of the Steve and Milo effect they could actually be a clearly right leaning but well respected news organization.

Conservatives remind me of the gay intellectuals I used to love seeing on television. They feel so under attack, they can't be dragged into nonsensical conversation. Alex can fairly and honestly describe what he does. Yet, Bill refuses to acknowledge the hysteria of the left wing.

To the statement that this is the worst attack ignore impeachment. Instead ask one simple question. What if you're wrong? That question opens the door to all other questions. What if we retaliate like it's the worst attack like 911 and we're wrong? Then, how can you be so sure of yourself? At that point leave it to the opponent to either humble themselves or otherwise.

Bill Maher always creates an argument - starts to lose the argument with his smarter opponent guests - then he changes the subject.
@dyates63803 жыл бұрын
I've been saying this for a long, long time. He loves to make a "fool" of the conservative guest, and on the rare occasion when the guest is allowed to rebut, and he starts losing the trained seals and realizing he's going to have someone "one up" him, he immediately switches gears to another subject. Clown show.
