Spot on Brendan, do not let money become your god. It can & will ruin you. Treat everyone how you expect to be treated yourself. Help as many as you can. Wealth is not measured by money. Open your eyes & see. Take everything in. It’s so sad how so many are tempted. Naseem did not reach his full potential & will always always be remembered for the Barrera loss. He wasn’t fit to lace your boots but you got greedy & turned away from your main source of power. Doing the right thing & staying humble. This man was a true gentleman, never had the pleasure of meeting him but I have done my time & learned my trade & I know a good man when I see one. Boxing has many but they are the ones in the background doing all the good stuff. The ones in the limelight usually shouting & making a lot of noise are the pretenders. This man reminds me of the great great trainer from Trostre Llanelli in Wales my great friend Gareth Howells May you both Rest In Peace 👍🏴🥊

Short sighted people with false ego are going to fail hard, Naz was too sheltered in his career and it went to his head. After his loss to Barrera he could've carried on fighting if he had heart. Barrera showed what elite boxing is, but no shame in losing to a fighter like Barrera. Far as going to super middle weight and becoming champion is not true at all. 130 maybe 135lbs he could've held his own.

@saif1980saif6 жыл бұрын
Hes a nice guy. But abit too nice. From 7 to 21 he must have sussed out much earlier that naz was a prick. It was quite evident on his ring walks and interviews. Main issue was a 20 or 25% purse split. Whereas Ali would pay angelo dundee a wage. Ali wanted cus on a wage but cus declined
@paulanthony52743 жыл бұрын
That's right 25% for a manager 15% for a trainer or combined up to 40% that's why Tommy Hearns fell out with Manny Steward as he saw he was taking 45% but they hooked back up years later but 40% for a trainer/manager combined is too much 25% should be enough for trainer manager of even a wage,its the fighter whos risking his neck. Then the promoter takes another 25% plus 40% tax out of what's left so if a boxer has a purse of say 1 million pounds he only takes home about 200 grand after overheads (training facilities too during a 9 to 11 week camp) and taxes no wonder only the elite make any real money.
