You’re lucky your Walmart has bargain fishing Lures. All ours up here in Saskatchewan (Canada) carry just the major (expensive) lure brands.

@@Hunter-gw3dr which one? The Oprah trail lipless crank baits for $2 are actually pretty solid, caught a 4 Ib white bass (massive for the species) and boy do they work!

Having fished multiple s in different sizes and colors, kzbin.infoUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 this is by far my favorite. One thing to be aware of is the sided willow blade. One side is silver and the other is the green/orange shown. This is not bad, just unconventional. In terms of fishing, I have found the lure works just fine without a tail like a craw or shad. That addition is up to you. Also, the hook part where you attach the swivel snap or tie the line is a problem on baits these days, since it's able to slide up and down. However this lure seems to be tight enough that that doesn't happen often, and you can solve it by putting a thin slice of medical tube over the hook before attaching the line. Like others have said, it's really magic on a good windy day.

To be honest I don’t think the “cbb” will work the colors are off and doesn’t match anything really. Especially up north are fish feed more on crawfish then shad and stuff like that. But I love creature baits especially. Also I agree with what you use for creek fishing I have a creek fishing box and most of your lures and it catches fish.

I also love buying clearance sales and crank baits and combo 🎣 poles at Walmart 👍💯
The only soft plastics I bought that are cheap but descent is yum white grub worms. Smallies striper and largemouth love em on a crappie jig. Final though trophy bass on the grub worm and hook tip. Let attractant sit to soak in a few minutes, put a generous amount, and start fishing. 😊❤ crappie jigs by strike king are yes cheap but amazing. I sharpen hooks to get them sticky sharp. Takes a few minutes

Excellent baits. That Cotton Cordell is a fav of mine. Recently started painting the top half yellow and have caught bream, crappie and bass on it. I think the tight wobble is the key but yellow really works for me. At about $3 bucks each i can handle it.

The wee shad in blue and chrome is my go to for pod bass or the rebel mini pop R is my go to for pressured bass. I worked at a Boy Scout camp over the summer and the bass would swim away if they even saw a person. I was the fishing instructor and on my off time I’d love to go and have fish offs with some of the kids in my class. That rebel pop R would get the shy bass to bite like crazy. Loved seeing the looks on their face when I’d hook the 4th bass of the day and they hadn’t even gotten a bite yet.
