I like Urie, but he predominantly uses falsettos in high notes and sometimes his voice is strange and inconsistent.
@antonle37004 жыл бұрын
@@cko1005 he used a lot of vocal registers there, not only falsetto. Tbh he used chesty and heady mixed voice in high notes in Ashes, head voice in I will always love you. He just used falsetto in middle notes in I will always love you. As a guy, u think a man can hit that high note with chest voice?
@cko10054 жыл бұрын
@@antonle3700 Urie tends to use a lot of falsetto in the high notes in his music work in general. Urie can't carry Chest past by B4, and his C5- E5 is inconsistent. That's what I mean. Adam Lambert, for example, carries up to G5. Inquire.
@antonle37004 жыл бұрын
@@cko1005 you didn't make that clear, so I got that you talked about this video, but tbh, I'm not sure if you are misunderstanding about vocal registers. Let me tell you this, the tenor's chest voice usually extends up to B4, some can hit C5 with chest voice. For Adam, the best chest voice note he can hit is B4, and up there he or most of tenors start using MIX VOICE (we'll not talk about head voice and falsetto) which is mixed by head voice and chest voice. And how it sounds still depends on the proportion of head and mix voice. With more % of chest voice it is chesty mix, and more % of head voice it is heady mix. I guess that Adam usually uses chesty mix so you get it wrong and think it's chest voice. Actually no, you know even for a mezzo, sometimes G5 is still not an easy note at all for them to sing in chest voice, so how do you think that Adam hit that G5 with chest voice. If you don't know, I can hear from Brendon in performances not only chest voice and falsetto but also chesty mix, sometimes heady mix and even mask-placed head voice. In some songs, he also uses head voice(like that I will always love you). He mixes them a lot in his singing. I'm just trying to explain if you get it wrong, not criticizing. Even you like him, but don't like how his voice sounds sometimes, it's okay, that's your opinion, everyone has their own taste.
@cko10054 жыл бұрын
@@antonle3700 Yes. Adam Lambert uses more Chest voice and mixed voice in the High notes and Urie uses more falsetto in the higher notes. Note that Adam's voice is fuller and richer in the High notes and Urie's voice is "thinner" a and less dense in the higher notes. One of Adam's strengths is that he can mix across his range perfectly. I call that consistency. And he can also add a lot of tone or power to his singing, and I call that dynamism. Adam has an unusual vocal technique and ability. Most tenors use the head voice in the highest notes and Adam manages to use the chest voice in a good part and later moves on to the mixed. Inquire Just to be clear, I admire the two singers. Both are incredible vocalists. I just wanted to highlight this differential from Adam, which I like a lot.

One of the greatest voices of our time!!!! He doesn’t get near the recognition he deserves. And I want a studio cover of this NOW!!!!!
@jamesstephanski58934 жыл бұрын
I have a theory. I think he could easily get the recognition he deserves, but he just doesn't want to be that "big". Its like a fine line- be amazing, do what he love with singing and touring, but be careful not to do too much to point when too many people realize just how great he is. He's very humble and down to earth. I think he likes having the freedom to chill and do what he wants on his down time, and he doesn't really like admitting to himself how amazing he is. Based on what he has said in the past, there's probably a part of him that's always going to think he's not that good. He's one of those "always room for improvement" types. He actually thrives on his "failures" or mistakes. Fails are what makes most people give up over time. He's such an amazing person in so many different ways. Sry i went on a tangent, "fan"ing out over him, but its hard not to. I think i wrote out my whole theory about this anyway.

What I’d like to comment on is the fact that he acknowledges how phenomenally amazing Celine is. Her voice really is something other-worldly. He did a great job of really feeling the parts he harmonized on; it sounded beautiful. 🇨🇦💕

I know very little about the art of singing and I know his voice is extraordinary for a multitude of reasons. Anyone that says he can't sing is: A. Trolling B. Never heard him sing. C. Both

I like Urie. But Urie predominantly uses falsetto on the higher notes and this sometimes makes the sound of his voice strange and inconsistent.

I love that someone as talented and hardworking as him still has a passion for his craft that he can't help but share. The glamour of the entertainment industry tends to mask many artists' struggles in the best of times let alone in a COVID 19 reality. This is a time when people are seeking different forms of distraction, escapism, comfort, and emotional connection even. We all need creativity and imagination not just to avoid isolation but enable us to have hope and see solutions to problems. Every individual reacts differenty and attaches as little or as much meaning to what they experience as they choose. Personally, I think this video and many others, are uplifting examples of beauty and humanity that remind us that artists are just as necessary to our wellbeing as our support is to theirs. He may be a celebrity who has earned his fame through his artistry but he is still just a guy fearlessly and joyously expressing his admiration and respect for other artists. Artistry like his requires a certain degree of self-awareness and emotional intelligence. His versatility inspires me to imagine where his creativity will continue to lead, to ponder whom he might next collaborate with, and to dream that I may get to see him perform live some time in a post-COVID future.

I think what I love the most about this video and Brendon Urie is how much you can see that he really loves singing. The way he just puts so much into it and really shows how much he enjoys doing this is really what gets me the most. I love listening to singers who really love it too. Seeing how much fun he's having just inspires me to want to sing along as well, too bad I'm not a singer. Would have loved to have been able to learn though. I can't wait to see more videos, keep up the amazing work Urie!
