fuck, i am depressed once again and find myself trying to get out of it. the meds don’t help. maybe learning to play piano so that i could sing this song would help. will be back once the depression kicks in again. i wish happiness to everyone who wants it so desperately but still is unable to enjoy life. ✊

This is such a wonderful interpretation with your own individual slant put into the original arrangement. It sounds as tranquil and beautiful as any of the piano movements by Erik Satie. I really need to start learning how to play this melody properly and this (and your other longer step by step tutorial video) is a great place to start. Love it! x

I am curious about the pedal work for this song. I have been practicing it as my return to piano for the last two months and the pedals I can never see so I am curious what the pedals are doing throughout this song? Thanks for the lovely cover also I have been using your sheet music to learn this song, you are a real talent!

Good question on the pedal work! It generally follows the chords in the left hand, so whenever you go from one chord and you move to the next, you lift and push back down on the pedal. But you can definitely play around with it! I’m really happy you liked the cover 💜💜

@@BrennanChilds Perfect thank you so much! Currently have got the first basic half down, and the andante ending, now working on the moderato part. Really gotta reach with accuracy to get those octaves in the dramatic part, but I really want to get it down because that shift at 1:45 is insane, it makes the song sound so huge before the quiet finish. Anyways thanks for the response! I really enjoy your covers, they are all very unique and interesting in a good way, lots of songs I always wanted to play but never knew were possible on piano. The abrupt ending is poetically brilliant!. "im not sticking round." and then its over so suddenly. Always thought of this song as the perfect suicide note. I dont want to sound like I am supporting suicide but its obvious the song was written from pain.
