Bret was so genuine and relatable, which I think helped propel his popularity when contrasted with much louder "characters" like Hogan, Warrior, and Taker. With Bret, you didn't see a character, you saw a person who you wanted to root for.

The classic Hitman we all idolized back in the good days of wrestling! I watched WWF in 93 because I wanted to see Hogan and ended up to be a huge Bret Hart fan. Great to see pre superstar Edge in this video. Insane to think he's still active, although he had to retire in 2011 until he made a comeback a few years ago.

I’ve always loved Bret. This interview is amazing it’s a shame WWF didn’t let him talk this naturally.

I love everything about this video-- seeing Bret give his shades to two kids, seeing a young Edge, the mom and son at the end (maybe the son can't live independently, and his awesome mom still took him to cool things like this). Wish we could go back to this time. Bret Hart was my sports hero when I was a kid.

The fact that the kid who asked about the Undertaker probably is around 30-40 now, who maybe have watched all his moments like the end of the Streak or his loss to Roman Reigns, and then his final match with AJ Styles absolutely baffles me, the Undertaker really is a timeless legend

Bret's dig at Shawn, Taker and Flair was badass. And he flat out acknowledged that he's the greatest in the world, and that was 1993. The best was yet to come. And...ewwww is all I have to say about young Edge. Nobody ever said he was a handsome man, but Jesus Christ. But, hey, at least he's no George Steele.

Brets awesome. One of my favourite wrestlers, but that question of it being fake pissed him off...he knows it's fake, but I think Bret thinks it's real. 😅 Like he takes it way too serious. It's all choreography right.... I know getting hurt is real but most times they all know who is going to win. Brets trying to justify the guys question.🙄lol..👍🏻

@ScooterKid659 Жыл бұрын
I don't think any wrestler was admitting to fake wrestling back in '93. Google it, but I don't think they owned it until about the time WWE was formed. In '93 they were still old school "real wrestling". I was also disappointed with his response to the question, however, it was the standard at the time. Dang, he was a good wrestler though!!
